The 3-minute story that made me cry on a train
Last year I read a story that was barely 400 words long. It was about a father learning to braid his daughter's hair from YouTube tutorials after his wife passed.
No twists. No clever wordplay. Just a man sitting on a bathroom floor at 2am, watching the same video for the 11th time.
I was on the Metro when I read it. Full car. Tears streaming. Didn't care.
That's the power of short fiction. You think you're safe because it's only a few paragraphs. Then it reaches inside you and rearranges something.
I started Tiny Tales because I believe the world needs more of these moments. Not 800-page epics (those are great too), but the kind of story you read in line for coffee and carry with you all day.
Every week, I curate and share stories that do exactly that. Short enough to fit in the cracks of your day. Powerful enough to stay.
If you've ever finished a short story and immediately needed to tell someone about it — this is your place.
