I've been trading memecoins for years. Made a lot. Lost a lot early on. Here's what I wish someone told me on day one.
The #1 mistake: Buying after the pump. If you see it on Twitter trending, you're already late. The real money is made before the hype — in the wallets, in the contracts, in the on-chain data.
What actually works:
Track smart money wallets. Find wallets that consistently 10x. Copy their entries early, not after the CT post blows up.
Read the contract, not the meme. Locked liquidity? Renounced ownership? Max wallet limits? These matter more than the logo.
Size your bets like a poker player. Never go all-in on one coin. I do 1-3% of my portfolio per play. The ones that hit cover the ones that don't.
Have an exit plan BEFORE you enter. "I'll sell half at 3x, let the rest ride" > "I'll figure it out later."
Stay in the right rooms. The biggest edge in memecoins isn't a tool — it's information flow. Being 5 minutes early is worth more than being 5 hours of research late.
