3 things I wish someone told me before I started trading

I spent my first 6 months trading like most people — clicking buttons, chasing green candles, and wondering why my account kept shrinking.

Here's what actually changed the game for me:

1. You don't need to trade every day.

The best traders I know sit on their hands 80% of the time. One good setup per week beats 20 mediocre ones. Patience isn't boring — it's profitable.

2. Risk management isn't optional — it IS the strategy.

Before I ever think about entries, I know exactly how much I'm willing to lose. 1-2% per trade, max. If you can't stomach the loss, the position is too big.

3. Indicators don't make you money. Understanding price action does.

I used to stack 6 indicators on my chart like Christmas lights. Turns out, a clean chart with support/resistance and volume tells you everything you need to know.

Trading isn't complicated. But it is hard — because the real challenge is managing yourself, not the market.

If you're just getting started and want a structured path from zero, that's exactly what I built Trade Mind for.
