3 Mistakes Every Beginner Trader Makes (and how to fix them)
I've been trading for years and I see the same 3 mistakes wipe out beginners over and over:
1. No plan, just vibes
You open your broker, see something green, and buy. That's not trading — that's gambling. Before you enter ANY trade, know your entry, target, and stop loss. Write it down.
2. Risking way too much
Beginners throw 20-50% of their account on one trade because they're chasing a big win. The pros? They risk 1-2% max per trade. Boring? Yes. Still in the game after 6 months? Also yes.
3. Overtrading
More trades ≠ more money. The best traders I know take 2-3 setups a day max. They wait for their setup and ignore everything else. Patience is literally a competitive advantage.
The fix? Start with a plan, size your positions small, and focus on quality over quantity. The money follows consistency.
I run a signals community here on Whop where I walk beginners through exactly this — real-time alerts, daily watchlists, and a chat full of people learning together. If you're serious about getting started the right way, check it out.
