The #1 mistake beginner forex traders make (and how to fix it)
Most beginners blow their accounts not because they pick bad trades โ but because they don't manage risk.
Here's what I see constantly:
Someone finds a "perfect" setup on EUR/USD. They're so confident they go in with 5-10% of their account on a single trade. It moves against them 30 pips and they panic close. Account down 8% in one trade.
The fix is dead simple:
Never risk more than 1-2% of your account per trade
Always set your stop loss BEFORE entering
Aim for a minimum 1:2 risk-to-reward ratio
If you risk 1% per trade and hit 60% of your trades at 1:2 RR, you're growing your account consistently every single month. That's math, not luck.
This is exactly how I approach every signal I send to my members at TradeX FX. Clear entries, defined risk, no gambling.
