5 study mistakes that are tanking your STEM grades (and what to do instead)

3. Not working problems to completion
"I know how to do this" halfway through a problem is a lie your brain tells you. Finish every problem. The second half is where the real learning happens.
4. Studying alone 100% of the time
Explaining a concept to someone else is the fastest way to find gaps in your understanding. Study groups aren't just social — they're a cheat code.
5. Cramming the night before
Spaced repetition beats cramming every single time. 30 minutes a day for a week > 5 hours the night before. Your hippocampus literally can't form long-term memories under sleep deprivation.
