The 3 things that separate profitable traders from everyone else
I spent years blowing up accounts before anything clicked. Looking back, the traders who actually make it long-term all share the same 3 habits — and none of them are about finding a 'secret indicator.'
1. They size positions before they think about entries. Most beginners obsess over the perfect entry and treat position size as an afterthought. Flip that. Decide your max risk per trade (1-2% of account) BEFORE you even look at the chart. This alone kills most blowups.
2. They have a written rule for every setup. Not a vibe. A rule. 'I enter when X happens, I'm out when Y happens.' If you can't write your strategy down in 3 sentences, you don't have a strategy — you have a hope.
3. They review losses more than wins. Winners teach you nothing. Losses tell you exactly where your process breaks down. The traders who review every losing trade improve faster than anyone grinding for more screen time.
Built out our full strategy playbook + a breakdown eBook on this exact process if anyone wants to go deeper. Happy to answer questions on any of this in the comments.
