5 Things Your Junk Removal Company Won't Tell You
Been in junk removal and dismantling for a while now. Here's what most companies won't say upfront:
1. You're probably overpaying for "full load" pricing. Most companies quote based on truck volume, but half the time the truck isn't actually full — they just eyeball it. Always ask for itemized pricing or a flat rate per job.
2. Not everything goes to the dump. A good crew donates usable items, recycles metals, and only landfills what's truly trash. Ask where your stuff is going.
3. Timing matters. Mid-week pickups are almost always cheaper and faster than weekends. If you can be flexible, you'll save.
4. Hidden fees are the norm. Stairs, heavy items, hazardous materials — these all get upcharged. We keep it simple: $150 flat rate, no surprises.
5. The best time to book is before a property turns over. If you're a landlord or PM, scheduling dismantling between tenants saves you time and money vs. scrambling last minute.
If you manage properties and need reliable, no-BS junk removal — that's what we do at USA Dismantling.
