Most creators think the problem is their camera, their mic, or their lighting.

It's not. It's pacing.

The #1 reason viewers click away in the first 30 seconds isn't bad quality — it's dead air. Those 2-3 second gaps between sentences where nothing happens. Your audience's thumb is already hovering over the next video.

Here's a quick fix I use on every single edit:

1. Cut on action, not on silence. If there's a pause longer than 0.5s, cut it. Every time.

2. Add visual movement every 3-5 seconds. Zoom, pan, B-roll, text — anything. Stillness = scroll.

3. Front-load your hook. The first frame of your video should already be mid-sentence. No intros, no logos, no "hey guys."

This alone can take your average view duration from 30% to 50%+. I've seen it happen dozens of times.
