The 3 reasons you're not losing fat (and what to do instead)
Most people trying to get lean make the same 3 mistakes. I see it every single day.
1. You're eating "healthy" but not in a deficit.
Avocado toast and protein shakes don't magically burn fat. If you're not tracking, you're guessing. And guessing doesn't get results. Start by calculating your maintenance calories and eating 300-500 below that.
2. You're doing too much cardio, not enough resistance training.
Cardio alone won't give you the lean look. You need muscle underneath. 3-4 days of compound lifts (squats, deadlifts, presses) will change your body composition faster than any amount of treadmill time.
3. You keep restarting instead of staying consistent.
The perfect plan you follow for 2 weeks loses to the decent plan you follow for 6 months. Every time. Stop switching programs. Pick one, commit for 12 weeks, and track your progress.
If this hit home — I built the Lean Body Program to solve exactly these problems. Personalized workout plans, weekly check-ins, and a community of people going through the same grind.
