Burnout isn't a badge of honor — here's what actually helps

We've normalized burning out. Hustle culture made it feel like a rite of passage.

But here's what nobody talks about: burnout doesn't go away on its own. Taking a long weekend doesn't fix months of running on empty.

I've worked with dozens of people who thought they just needed more sleep. They didn't. They needed a full reset — nervous system, habits, environment, mindset.

What actually works:

  • Cut input before adding output. Most burnout advice tells you to add things (meditation, journaling, gratitude lists). But recovery starts with removing the things draining you first.

  • Rebuild sleep architecture, not just sleep hours. 8 hours of broken sleep is not the same as 6 hours of deep, uninterrupted rest.

  • Redefine what productivity means for you. If your current definition is making you sick, it's time to update it.

  • Have somewhere to land. Recovery is faster when you're not doing it alone.

If you're in that fog right now — exhausted but wired, disconnected from things that used to matter — that's burnout. And it's fixable.

Wellness Circle is a community + courses + coaching built specifically for this. No toxic positivity. Just real tools and real support.
