The 3 habits that changed my sleep (from someone who used to run on 4 hours)

I spent most of my early 20s thinking sleep was optional. Energy drinks, late nights scrolling, waking up feeling like garbage — rinse and repeat.

Then I actually started reading the research. Not the clickbait stuff. The real studies on circadian rhythm, blue light, and how your body actually recovers.

Here are the 3 things that flipped my sleep quality completely:

1. Same wake time, every day. Even weekends. Your body clock doesn't care that it's Saturday. Within 2 weeks of a consistent wake time, I was falling asleep faster without even trying.

2. No screens 45 min before bed. I know, I know. But replacing that scroll session with 20 minutes of reading changed everything. Your brain needs the wind-down.

3. Morning sunlight within 30 minutes of waking. This one sounds too simple to work, but it's the most backed-by-science hack for resetting your circadian rhythm. Even on cloudy days, step outside for 10 minutes.

These aren't hacks. They're fundamentals that most people skip because they sound boring. But boring works.

I wrote an entire e-book breaking down the science behind sleep, stress, and building real habits — without the fluff. If you're a young adult trying to actually get your life together, the Wellness E-Book Library is built for you.
