I’m always on the lookout for new Discord communities, which is how I came across Potion Alpha. This crypto trading Discord server was founded just a few months ago, but its owner packs a ton of trading experience and success. Naturally, I had to check the group to see if it was good.
Potion Alpha was built by “Orangie”, a very successful crypto trader. The group primarily specializes in memecoins but also covers more mainstream coins if that’s more your style. It’s also surprisingly beginner-friendly, with Orangie and the rest of the community open to helping out all new members.
If you’ve already decided to join Potion Alpha, you can become a member through Whop now. Or you can keep reading to find out what I thought of the Discord server and whether the premium membership is worth your money.
Before that, though, a few words on the creator of Potion Alpha.
Who created Potion Alpha?
Potion Alpha is the passion project of Orangie, an entrepreneur who managed to make significant profits from crypto trading at a very young age. So far, he’s mostly been active on social media, where he’s gathered a huge following of 150K+ members.
In mid-2024, he created his own crypto trading community, Potion Alpha. Thanks to his reputation, he gathered more than 12K members on Discord within the first few months of launching the group.
Obviously, he doesn’t manage such a huge community on his own, though. He has a team of moderators that help him with day-to-day tasks, like offering member support services. And judging by the dozens of five-star reviews on Whop, the community has definitely started on the right track.
The Potion Alpha Discord community
When I finished claiming my premium membership, I immediately joined the Potion Alpha Discord server. I first landed in the “Rules” channel, which contained a concise list of all the server’s terms and conditions.
As I started to scroll further down, I was impressed by how well-organized the server was, especially since it’s a relatively new community. Everything was neatly split into sections with clearly labeled channels, making it easy to find everything I needed.
The group even has a handy “Start Here” section that includes instructions on how to upgrade to the premium membership. It also has a “Channel Roadmap”, which basically tells you which channels you should check and what additional first steps you need to take.
The Discord server also has a dedicated “Support” section, where you can find a very useful FAQ section and a channel for suggestions to the community. And if you want some more personalized help, you can always open a support ticket, and a member of the Potion Alpha team will promptly get back to you.
Resources and trade alerts
From the first few minutes inside Potion Alpha, I was impressed by how beginner-friendly the group is. After the Start Here and Support sections, there’s an entire “Onboarding” section that includes every tool Orangie utilizes, as well as advanced guides.
There are dedicated channels for Orangie’s preferred broker and browser, as well as all his personal settings on these platforms. You can also find an in-depth guide on how to utilize the group’s bot commands, which are essential if you want to maximize what the server has to offer.
The Potion Alpha Discord server is actually full of very useful bots and monitors for everything you can imagine. Orangie has built a separate channel with explanations of what each tool does and how you can use it effectively.
If you’re here for some alerts and signals, you’ll find them under the “Trading Alerts” section. This is where you’ll find “Orangie’s Journal”, where he discusses his thoughts, as well as channels with alerts for specific coins. I think this section could use a bit more work to have more clear-cut alerts, but I can understand if Orangie doesn’t want this to be a pure “Alerts” group.
What’s definitely very useful are the “Weekly Calls” Orangie runs. You can find a detailed schedule for these inside the server and join to ask Orangie anything you want. He also hosts private livestreams, such as “Scanning Livestreams” for finding new memecoins.
Free and paid community channels
A big part of the Potion Alpha is the actual community. Since Orangie has such a huge and active following behind him, the Discord server is always full of energy. There’s a “Free” section where the majority of members are, and it includes a free chatting channel, too.
Premium members gather under the “Elite Community” section, where you can find dedicated channels for ETH and SOL and discuss each coin there. This section also includes a dedicated “Announcements” channel, a channel to put down your personal goals, and a channel with all the available bot commands.
The community is very big on voice chatting, too, and you can find several dedicated voice chats to talk to other members. And, all the group’s livestreams happen on voice chat channels as well, so you can freely participate and ask direct questions.
