While I was looking for some new trading groups on Whop, I came across The Trading Shelter. At first I didn’t think much about the group, but once I looked into it a bit more, I was intrigued by the owner’s dedication and focus on a few specific trading strategies. Needless to say, I had to check the community out in detail.

The Trading Shelter was founded by Rod, who’s had a lot of success both as a business owner and forex trader. His goal with The Shelter is to teach members his unique strategies and showcase how important values, like commitment and discipline, are to trading.

The group offers a detailed library of learning materials, as well as detailed charts and live calls with Rod and his team.

If you’re interested in The Trading Shelter, you can find the group on Whop now. Alternatively, you can keep reading this review, where I’ll go over how the group operates in detail, as well as which of its two membership packages is best for you.

The person behind The Trading Shelter

The Trading Shelter is the latest project by Rod (aka @jrod_fx). Rod had been developing successful businesses for a while before he started trading a few years ago. He began learning everything on his own, and so far, he has spent thousands of hours perfecting his strategies.

Rod has shown extreme dedication to trading and tries to convey the importance of it to all members. Part of his discipline and dedication can be attributed to his bodybuilding background, which, although not relevant to trading at all, helped him develop these important virtues.

Rod has built the entire Trading Shelter community around exclusivity and likes to actively help each member improve and grow as a trader. That’s why you’ll only find a few hundred members on the group’s whop, but there are still dozens of five-star reviews on the platform, which shows the community’s excellent services.

Entering the Shelter

When I first got into The Trading Shelter, I liked how compact and well-organized the group’s whop was. The community originally started out on Discord and still maintains the server, but you can find all the important content, including its huge video library on within the whop itself.

Each section is clearly labeled and comes with unique icons, which makes it very easy to distinguish and browse around the whop.

I understand the community might feel slightly “empty”, and I definitely think it could use a few additional sections, like a chat room for members or access to the Whop Wheel for daily free prizes. But I get that a simpler whop makes it much easier for Rod and his team to manage everything and support members consistently.

One important section in The Trading Shelter whop is the “Trading Indicators” section. Rod likes to focus on a few key indicators instead of using a bunch of different ones, and you can get direct access to them through the aforementioned section.

Rod also provides Daily Markups for all members of the group. These are thorough charts on two FX pairs, which include key points for buying or selling and are essential tools if you’re just starting out.

Additionally, you’ve got weekly calls from Rod discussing important trading concepts. Pro members only get access to pre-recorded videos of the calls, while Premium members get to participate in live sessions, where they can also ask questions directly.

The Shelter video library

One of the best features I came across on The Trading Shelter is the group’s extensive video library. This is essentially a repository full of educational courses and lessons on important trading concepts for all levels of traders.

The video library starts off light, with some key trading terms that are useful when trading any financial instrument, especially forex. Then, you can take a look at a complete breakdown of intra-day trading. This will give you practical examples of different currency pairs so you understand how to handle each specific situation.

On top of all these, you can also find a section on trading psychology in the library. Rod is a huge proponent of proper psychology when trading professionally and wants to ensure all members know his advanced tips for maintaining a strong mental game.

Apart from the video library, the Shelter also has a detailed Trading Journal, which you can use to plan your trades and manage your risk. It’s got detailed checklists to ensure you have a structured approach when trading and a journal template so you can actively keep track of your own trades.

As I mentioned above, Rod bases his entire trading philosophy on a few targeted learning courses, tons of actual practice, and proper discipline. All these virtues are evident in the way he has set up The Trading Shelter whop.

Finally, you can book 1-on-1 coaching sessions with Rod if you want some more personalized advice. There are different booking links under the corresponding section for Pro and Premium members since the latter get a discount on 1-on-1 sessions.

Which package is right for you?

tradin shelter packages

I’ve already mentioned a few times that The Trading Shelter has two different membership tiers. There’s the “Pro” membership, which gives you access to the daily markups, pre-recorded weekly calls, the trading journal, and the entire video library for $197 a month.

If you want complete access to the group, you’ll need the Premium membership, which costs $247 a month. It includes everything in the Pro package, as well as the option to participate in live weekly calls and enjoy a discount on personal calls with Rod.

I think the community’s price point is definitely on the pricier side, but I understand that’s got to do with Rod’s expertise and desire to maintain the group’s exclusivity. However, I still think the group could benefit from offering partial free access to the whop or a more affordable membership package for entry level members.

All in all, The Trading Shelter is definitely a group worth checking out on Whop if you want to learn more about forex trading. In fact, I’d say they’ve got the potential to become one of the top trading whops on the platform.

The group is built around important trading virtues, like dedication and discipline, and the community’s owner, Rod, has a ton of experience and success trading forex.

Rod has clearly built a group with a solid foundation for learning and actively practicing new concepts, and thanks to the community’s exclusive nature, he’s able to personally help members out, too.
