Meet Before the Next Thing, our new Guide & Practice Kit for everyday transitions.

Inside the complete package:

• A 19-page guide and plain-text edition, with seven everyday situations, fictional examples and adaptable scripts.

• Printable transition maps, a five-occasion log, keep/change/drop review and take-away card.

• Six importable Notion pages and a CSV observation log.

• An offline Calendar Builder: choose your own dates and export up to five practice occasions plus a review as all-day .ics events.

• Start Here, import guides and manual calendar event templates.

Choose one situation, make the routine small, and try it when that moment actually occurs. You do not need to use every format.

Our first guide: Phone-Free Evenings.

For the evening when you meant to stop scrolling, but haven’t decided what comes next.

The Guide & Kit helps you choose a phone-away time, write a three-step routine, prepare a shorter version for late evenings, and use a seven-evening log to decide what to keep or change.

The digital package includes a full 16-page guide and worksheets, editable text editions, Bedside Cards and optional digital companions. Start with the PDF and one plan; you don’t need to use every file.

Now available on Pausestead. Launch offer: $8 with code PAUSE20 — 20% off the $10 one-time price. No subscription.

Choose your next small pause.

Pick a moment you already notice: finishing a task, arriving home, or clearing your plate.

Then choose one small action. Put your phone on a shelf while you read a paragraph. Step outside for a moment. Sit quietly before beginning the next thing.

Try completing this sentence:

“After ___, I’ll make room for ___.”

Keep it practical. If you need your phone for work, caregiving or accessibility, fit the pause around that need. If the moment passes, try again at the next useful cue.

Welcome to Pausestead. A place to pause.

This is for anyone who needs a pause: between tasks, after a busy day, or when an evening has slipped into scrolling.

We make practical guides and reusable tools for small moments you can make your own. Start small, adapt to your responsibilities, and return when it helps.

Our first guide, Phone-Free Evenings, is now available in Products. We’ll also share simple ideas you can try without buying anything.

Where in your day would you like a little more room?
