The 3 mistakes every beginner trader makes (and how to avoid them)
I've coached hundreds of new traders. Almost every single one makes these same 3 mistakes in their first few months.
Mistake #1: Trading without a plan.
You see a stock moving, you feel the FOMO, you buy. Then it drops and you panic sell. Sound familiar? Every trade should have an entry, a target, and a stop loss BEFORE you click buy.
Mistake #2: Risking too much per trade.
If you're putting 20-50% of your account into a single trade, you're not trading — you're gambling. The rule of thumb: never risk more than 1-2% of your account on any single trade. This is how you survive long enough to actually get good.
Mistake #3: Chasing indicators instead of understanding price action.
RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands — they all lag. They tell you what already happened. Learn to read candlestick patterns and support/resistance levels first. The indicators become 10x more useful once you understand what price is actually doing.
The market doesn't care about your feelings. But if you build real skills and manage your risk, the odds start stacking in your favor.
