The First Owls
Owls Options Traders is the passion project of two young entrepreneurs, “FlowCapital” (aka Flowseidon or kiantrades) and “Professor of ETFs” (aka JonETrades). Both of them had been very successful traders on social media and combined forces to create the best options trading group in the market.
The group launched all the way back in 2020, and the team has expanded significantly since then. There are currently six additional veteran traders on Discord that provide daily alerts, and the community has already exceeded 11K members.

Entering the Owls Nest
As soon as I joined the Owls Options Traders Discord server, I knew these guys were the real deal. The first channel I landed in was the group’s disclaimer, which encouraged me to check out the server rules before I proceeded. Obviously, there’s nothing obnoxious in the ruleset, but you can immediately tell that this is a serious organization.
Then, I quickly went through the “Start Here” section, which included a free trading room and a channel for members to share their profits. There’s also a separate section for all of the server’s major announcements.
The Owls provide daily newsletters that include how certain tickers have moved, and you can also find a separate channel with all the dates of important economic events, such as earnings reports.
There’s also a separate “Voice Chat” section where all the group’s live classes happen. And if you have any non-trading topics you want to discuss, there’s a dedicated section in the Discord for that, too.
Real-Time Trade Alerts
Now we get to the actual trade alerts, the most important part of the server, in my opinion. The group was built as an alerts server first and foremost, which is why you’ll find a big section about them in the Discord server.
Each of the group’s expert traders has their own channel in the Discord group, except for Professor and Kian, who share a channel. Every analyst focuses on different things, but most of them rely primarily on options trades. You’ll also find some intraday scalps and swing trades, as well as a separate channel for long-term investment ideas.
What really impressed me about the Owls Options Traders team is how they approach the market every day. They don’t try to force trades to just put something out there - the number of trade alerts you’ll get daily depends on market conditions.
If the market is stagnant, for example, you’ll only get a few contract suggestions. Or if it calls for a bunch of short-term, low-value contracts, that’s what you’ll get. Sometimes the group will treat certain trades as “lottos”, meaning they’ve only invested a small amount on a contract with a huge potential upside.
Another important section in the server is the “Pro Member Chat”, which is reserved for premium members. It includes different chatting channels, such as the main trading floor, a channel for member alerts, and channels for futures and cryptos.
Additionally, you’ll find channels where the group’s analysts present their daily watchlists and provide fundamental analysis of different companies.

I think the organization part of the Discord server could use a few improvements. A good idea could be an onboarding video in the “Start Here” section so new members don’t feel overwhelmed when they join the group.
