So, you’ve decided to start a coaching business. Better yet, you’ve chosen Whop as your platform to do just that.
Starting your coaching Whop is refreshingly simple (and I’ll walk you through exactly how below). And while growing and scaling your business takes time and strategy, you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m here to help you out. I’ll be going over everything you’ll need to know to create your coaching business on Whop and offer you tips to scale it.
I’ll even add in a couple of insights if you’re still on the fence about taking the next step, including some examples of high-performing coaches on Whop.
Let me not waste your time and get straight to it.
Set up your coaching business on Whop in just 5 steps
I know that many of you are ready to start selling coaching slots right now, so I won’t keep you for long. Here’s exactly what you need to do to set up your coaching whop.
1. Pick your niche

Firstly, let’s talk a little bit about your niche.
Don’t get me wrong; you know where your knowledge lies and probably already have a niche in mind. Maybe it’s business, fitness… hell, even financial coaching.
But I want you to actually take a moment and go deeper into that. If you’re going to build a business coaching whop, who will be your target audience? New business owners? Young entrepreneurs who are already making a couple of thousand a month, but want to scale?
In the same sense, if it’s fitness coaching, do you want to speak to complete beginners working out from home? Or, do you want to help out more experienced gym-goers with workout and nutritional programs?
The clearer your niche is, the easier it’ll be to create a killer and clear offer to your potential students. And, believe me, you’ll need that to stand out.

2. Create a clear offer
If you’ve locked in your niche and target audience, then it’s just a matter of making your business speak to the right people.
Let's take an example from above and say that you want to coach new business owners to help them make their first sales.
What you don't want to do is say you're going to take them from 0 to 10 and make them a six-figure sales person. Instead, your offer should clearly state that you’re there to get them from 0 to 1, and help these people “start” or “build their businesses”.
Or, let’s say that you’re gonna do fitness coaching for beginners who only have a set of dumbbells and a pull-up bar. Your offer should focus on the fact that you can help them “build muscle using bodyweight exercises and the occasional dumbbell”, not “get a new personal best on every compound exercise each week”.

In simple terms, understand the pain points and needs of your specific audience and set realistic expectations, rather than creating an offer for the general niche audience and trying to please everyone.
That way, you’ll attract the right people—those you can truly support—leading to better results, stronger reviews, and longer retention in your whop. Plus, the impact you make goes far beyond just making money. It’s about real value and meaningful change.
Now, with all of that in mind, let’s actually get your whop started. Don’t worry, it won’t take more than 5 minutes.
3. Sign up on Whop and create your whop

So, first things first—let’s quickly get you signed up on Whop (if you don’t already have an account). Just click the button below, sign up, and, once your account is all set up, you can start creating your whop.
If you already have an account, you can also click on the button to get you to the onboarding page. Keep it open on a separate tab and let’s go over each step together.
All set up? Cool. Let’s get started with setting up your business by first choosing a name for it.
Don’t worry, you can change this later, so you can even have a placeholder name for now. Type it out, and click on “Continue”.

Now, you’ll have to create your whop's link. This is essentially what you’ll send to customers, and it will be the link to your Store page (which is pretty much your whop’s profile). Since this can’t be changed, make sure you create a link that fits your business.
You can use your whop’s name, go with something simple like: “coaching-with-(your name)”, or even go down a more SEO route like: “fitness-coaching-for-beginners”. It’s totally up to you. Once you’re ready, click “Continue”.

And, now, you’ve just created your whop.
While you’re not ready to sell your coaching services just yet, you’re pretty much halfway there.

We’ll still need to go over a few steps here, so bear with me.
It’s time to add some apps to your whop, which will essentially allow you to get all your customers in there, without having to use separate platforms for chats and coaching calls.
4. Add the apps you’ll need
At this point, you’re probably still on the onboarding page, and you’ll see your whop’s URL right at the center.
You can watch this tutorial video, or follow the instructions below:
To get started, copy your whop's URL, open a separate tab, and go to your whop, where you’ll be able to add all the apps and customize your Store page.
It should look something like this.

From there, as you’ll see on the left side of your screen, you can start adding different categories of apps, like a “Chat” or a “Calendar”.
While these might vary based on your particular coaching niche, I’d suggest you add at least the Chat and Calendar apps, so that you can host coaching calls and have a chat room for your students.
Let’s quickly go over how you can do that for the Calendar app. Firstly, click on the “Calendar” tab.

From there, click on the “Add app” button at the bottom left of the screen.

A pop-up will appear, which allows you to choose between the Calendar and the Events app. Just choose whichever right now, name it, and click on “Create”.

Now, you’ll be able to just click on the app and add your availability on the Calendar or create events on the Events app.

My suggestion would be to use the Calendar app for 1-on-1 coaching calls and the Events app for group calls. But, honestly, it’s totally up to you.
You can use the same exact process to add the “Chat” or any other apps you want on your whop.
You can also read through our guide to setting up your Store page, or we can just get straight to setting up your pricing and launching your whop.
5. Set your pricing and launch your whop
Unless you want to offer free coaching calls, you’ll need to set the pricing for your whop. Thankfully, this is as easy as everything I’ve covered so far, so let’s get to it.
Watch this video, or follow the instructions below:
For starters, open up your whop Dashboard and click on “Set up Whop Payments” on your onboarding checklist. While you can set the pricing without this, you’ll need Whop Payments to get paid through Whop.

Simply follow the instructions as they come (you’ll be redirected to Stripe to verify your identity), add all your info, and you’ll be done in no time.
Once that’s done, go back to your Store page, and scroll until you find the pricing tab. Click on “Manage pricing” to set up your different pricing plans.

All that’s left is to click on “Create pricing option”, configure the price, duration, payment methods, and you’re pretty much set.

What you can also do here is keep your whop free, but charge for each session.
You can do this through the Calendar app by adding a booking fee for a specific duration.

When you’ve done all this, go over to your onboarding checklist on your Dashboard, and complete any steps that are left, so you can have a fully-fledged whop.
At that point, you’re ready to share your whop with your customers or coachees. And your coaching business now lives on Whop!
Before you click off, I do have a bunch more stuff to share, including plenty of tips to get fully booked on Whop, as well as some coaches on here.
Plus, if you’re doubting yourself about starting your coaching business today, I’m sharing some info below to help you with that as well.
If you're ready to start, go to your whop, create your offer, and start coaching.

Tips to get fully booked on Whop
Alright, your coaching whop is live. Now what? You’re not just gonna wait around and hope someone books a call, right?
If you want to get fully booked (and stay that way), here are a few solid tips that’ll help you turn your coaching whop into a real business, with consistent bookings, good retention, and members that actually get results.
After reviewing 100+ different whops, and checking out even more than that, I can safely say that there are a few things that just work to help you scale.
So, let’s get straight to it.
1. Make your pitch simple
Nobody wants to read a novel just to figure out what you do. When someone lands on your whop or clicks your link, they should immediately get what you’re offering and who it’s for. One sentence. Max. That’s it.
Something like:
- “I help beginner founders land their first clients”
- “I coach beginners who want to get strong at home with zero gym stress”
- “I’ll help you get your first freelance gig without cold DMs”
Don’t try to cram in everything you can do. Keep it outcome-driven. Focus on the one thing your ideal customer really wants and how you help them get it. You can still offer more behind the scenes, but your pitch should be punchy and specific.
Also, just to give a quick tip here, make sure the pitch is at the top of your Store page using the description box, so that anyone searching for you on the Discover page can immediately know what you’re offering.
2. Make your Whop profile and brand distinct
Whop gives you the ability to customize your Store page a whole lot, so use that to you’re advantage. It doesn’t matter if you’re not a designer. You can still stand out by making your whop look intentional and consistent.
For instance:
- Add a banner image (Canva has great templates)
- Use a simple color palette (2–3 max)
- Upload a profile pic or logo
- Match the vibe of your niche (friendly? premium? hype-heavy?)
Think of it this way: if someone’s comparing your whop to 2–3 others in the same niche, what makes yours memorable? Is it the visuals? The tone of your copy? The clarity of your offer?
Branding is just making a strong first impression. You don’t have to be fancy, just make sure you look like you know what you’re doing.
At the same time, make sure your copy on your profile actually shows your character and targets your ideal clients.
Your own profile description should build trust with the folks that come across your whop, and you should also use the “target personas” part of your Store page to get the right people in.
Watch this video for a step-by-step guide on setting up your store page:
3. Overdeliver in your first few sessions
Okay, this one’s seriously underrated. Or, rather, most coaches would never do it.
Your first 5–10 clients are the foundation of your coaching business. Treat them like gold. Be more generous with your time, give extra resources, follow up after the session, and actually help them implement your advice.
While I wouldn’t suggest offering full-blown coaching calls for free, I highly suggest you offer some form of free trial. Maybe a free 10-min call where you offer your best basic advice.
The goal here is to essentially build some momentum, since, when people feel like you actually care, they’ll:
- Leave glowing reviews on your whop
- Share your link with their friends
- Come back for more sessions
- Give you testimonials you can use forever
And honestly? It just feels good. Coaching is supposed to be about impact (as I’ll also restate below). The more impact you have, the more people you can bring on, and, in the long run, the more profitable your coaching business will be. So go hard on value at the beginning.
Also, another quick tip: always ask for feedback after each session. It shows that you care and gives you that extra bit of insight to tweak your offer and improve.
4. Provide social proof
People trust people, especially in this space. So many folks are out there pretending to be coaches and gurus when they’re basically running get-rich-quick schemes.
And, while you could be the best coach in the world, if there’s no proof, most people will scroll right past you, thinking you’re just another shill. So, build your credibility through social proof.
Start with:
- Reviews on your whop (ask for them after every session)
- Screenshots of wins shared in your Chat app
- Testimonials shared on socials
- Quick case studies or transformation stories
Funnily enough, this sounds super hard, but it is incredibly simple to do.

For example, you could ask for reviews in exchange for a free 10-min call. Or, you could ask your best-performing students for their results and share that on social media, like:
“X booked a session last month → used the exact strategy we discussed → landed 3 clients in 2 weeks”
Also, make sure to include a screenshot from their DM or Chat (with permission). That hits harder than just saying “client success story”.
Your goal is to create a vibe of this is working for other people like you. Once someone sees others getting real results, their hesitation drops dramatically.
5. Optimize your services
Okay, I’ve focused quite a lot on the part where you launch your coaching whop, but it’s only the beginning. The real game (and challenge, if you ask me) is in tweaking and improving it as you go.
In your position, I would ask myself every month or so:
- Are people signing up but not booking?
- Is one pricing tier doing way better than the others?
- Are people dropping off after one session?
Based on what you see, test different approaches:
- Add a cheaper intro session for first-timers (or 100% free, if you can support that)
- Create a bundle of 3–5 sessions for long-term clients
- Offer weekly group calls as a lower-lift option
- Turn your most common advice into PDFs or resources you can send automatically
Also, ask your students directly, “What would make this even more valuable for you?”
You’ll be surprised at how often they give you golden ideas you hadn’t even thought of.
Basically, your current customers are the ones who can give you the best feedback. Give them as many incentives as possible so that they can see this as a win-win situation.
That being said, though, I’m sure that some of you might still have some doubts. Maybe you’re just not ready yet. Thing is, the earlier you start, the quicker you can see what works and what doesn’t.
Why online coaching is one of the best businesses to start
Coaching businesses are fast to launch, low-cost, and actually meaningful. You don’t need to be a content machine or a fancy site. And you definitely don’t need to overthink it. If you’ve got skills, experience, or a framework that helps people? You’ve already got the core of a real business.
But, still. Why coaching? Well…
It’s very affordable and simple to set up
There aren’t many businesses you can launch in a weekend for next to nothing. You don’t need to hire developers, deal with product inventory, or pay thousands for an online course platform.
All you really need is a place to host your sessions, collect payments, and communicate with your clients. And, of course, Whop gives you all of that in one place.
Now, a follow-up question to this could be “Why not any other digital product?”.
Well, I, for one, I’m a huge advocate of courses and communities. However, coaching kinda combines the best of both worlds, as you’re still actively working on this, and it’s a form of recurring income.
Plus, you can pivot to these in the long run, and you get all the other benefits of digital products, like…
You can work wherever, whenever
Well, this one was a given, right? Online coaching is remote by default. You can basically run everything from home, with just a couple of tools and a killer hosting platform.
Hell, why even stay at home? You can coach from a co-working space. The local coffee shop. A completely different country (hello digital-nomad life). As long as you’ve got your availability set and a stable connection, you’re open for business.
Best part is that you get to decide how many sessions you take on. Want to coach five days a week? Go for it. Want to keep it lean and just open up two slots a week? That works too.
Sure, as someone who’s been full-time selling a digital service for years now, I can tell you that it’s never that simple. You actually need to be fully booked at all times for that to be feasible.
But that’s why I shared all the tips I could for this right above. And, hey, let’s not forget that you can sell high-ticket coaching sessions, where, essentially, you’ll only need 5-10 calls every month for it to be profitable for you.
It’s easily scalable
Regardless of what your offer is, once you’ve figured out your system and you know it gets results, scaling becomes a matter of structuring it better.
And, with coaching, the roadmap for this is actually very well-documented. You don’t necessarily need a massive team or a huge audience. All you have to do is shift from 1:1 delivery to something higher-leverage.
For instance:
- Turn your coaching framework into a small course or workshop
- Bundle your calls into a package with ongoing chat support
- Build a tiered pricing model so people can choose how deep they want to go
Or, if you want to, go even simpler than that. Just start selling group coaching sessions for 20% less per person. That way, they get a deal, and you get to earn more per hour.
You build an income source and a community
When people find a coach that actually helps them, they stick around. That’s how you start building consistent revenue from people who rebook, refer, and engage long-term.
Over time, your coaching business can become a community where people share wins, ask questions, and support each other.
That’s why I insisted on adding the Chat app to your whop. If you can offer a space for your students to chat from the get-go, you can have a community going after the first few coaching calls.
Plus, to keep the business side of things in mind, a community can be so valuable that you start selling access to it as an additional source of income.
You can have a huge impact
Every single session you run has the potential to change someone’s direction. Whether it’s helping someone finally stick to a habit, make their first $1k online, or go through a tough life decision, you’re playing a direct role in their progress.
That level of connection and personal growth is rare in other business models. Coaching lets you use your experience to actually move the needle for someone else. And you’ll get paid pretty well for it.
Moving on, I also want to quickly mention a few of the most lucrative coaching niches, just to give you an idea and maybe help you pivot to a different niche than what you had in mind.
What coaching niche should you choose? 5 of the most lucrative coaching niches
While there are plenty of different niches I could list here, and many more actually lucrative ones, I’ll name the 5 that 1) can help you make the big bucks and 2) are very in-depth, meaning that you can find a sub-niche that fits you best.
1. Fitness coaching
Honestly, whenever I’d hear the word coaching, fitness would be the first thing I’d think about. It’s obviously still one of the strongest niches around, especially with many still working out from home or skipping traditional gyms.
Fitness coaching works well because people want accountability, structure, and visible results. And if you niche down even further (like coaching teenagers who are just getting started, busy business owners, or just gym newbies), you’ll stand out even more.
You can offer training programs, nutrition guidance, check-ins, and personalized plans—all from one whop.
2. Mindset coaching

A lot of people know what to do, but they struggle with actually doing it. That’s where mindset coaches come in.
Whether it’s helping someone overcome limiting beliefs, stay consistent with their goals, or build confidence before a big life change, this type of coaching has serious demand, especially among younger professionals and creatives.
This could be a difficult one to start if you aim for a general audience. Instead, your target audience should essentially be people like you. Maybe it’s students who are trying out side hustles, young business owners dealing with burnout and/or impostor syndrome, that sort of stuff.
3. Business coaching
New entrepreneurs, freelancers, and online creators are popping up every day, and most of them have no real strategy.
If you’ve built a business before deciding to go down the coaching route (even a small one), or you’ve helped others grow theirs, you’ve got something valuable to offer.
Business coaching can focus on client acquisition, pricing strategy, operations, marketing, or all of the above. The ROI is clear, which makes it easier for clients to justify the spend.
4. Relationship coaching

Yes, relationship coaching is an actual thing, and it’s growing rather fast. Relationship coaches help people with everything from dating and communication to long-term partnerships.
Now, if you want to become a relationship coach, you’ll likely need some sort of certification to stand out. Because let’s face it: most people have had a personal or business relationship with someone before.
Then again, there’s nothing stopping you from finding a very specific sub-niche under relationship coaching and locking in on that.
5. Financial coaching
I mean, if you end up running any successful business, you can be a financial coach for new business owners. But, on a general note, financial coaching can cover budgeting, debt management, saving, investing, or building a long-term money plan.
And because financial stress is so common, there’s always a demand for someone who can help people feel more in control of their money. If you’re good with numbers and better with people, this is a very strong niche.
Highest-performing coaches on Whop
If you’re still doubting whether this can actually work, here’s your proof. These coaches have built real, functioning businesses on Whop. And they’re doing it well.
Let me quickly break down exactly what these coaches are doing right, so you can steal what works and apply it to your own setup.
1. Leroy ter Braak 1:1 Coaching

Leroy’s a beast at keeping it simple. His entire Whop is focused on 1:1 calls for YT creators and business owners who want to use YouTube to increase their sales. And that’s it. One clear offer that’s pushed around the entire whop page.
What he’s doing right:
- The offer is personal. It’s literally his name. That alone builds trust.
- He’s not selling his “time.” He’s selling his knowledge and the community.
- His whop page is arguably one of the best ones out there. A cool header image, tons of video testimonials and all the offerings are outlined perfectly.
2. Elite Coaching Academy

Justin’s done some amazing work with ECA. He’s basically providing business and fitness coaching, helping people build and scale online coaching businesses, as well as offering fitness masterclasses. But he’s actually set it up like an actual academy, with group calls, content, and mentorship.
What they’re doing right:
- Multiple tiers and packages, so students can get in cheap or pay more for extra support.
- Built a community around his coaching so people stick around.
- His whop combines both of his coaching niches, within one brand, with him at the forefront.

3. Cash Flow University

These guys have pretty much nailed the finance/trading coaching side of things. Credit, cash flow, and business funding, all in one place. And they’ve made it feel serious by having a very simple yet to-the-point whop.
What they’re doing right:
- That name screams value.
- The copy and overall branding is results-first, with plenty of stats and financial wins.
- Plenty of testimonials and reviews right at the top of the page.

4. WannerCashCow Coaching

Wanner’s whop is all about making money with faceless YT content. He knows exactly who he’s speaking to: hungry creators who want to monetize fast.
What he’s doing right:
- Super specific niche, albeit speaking to a more general audience within it.
- His brand is loud and consistent, down to the name.
- He’s using his own journey as proof, which builds major trust.
