Sports picks communities are getting seriously popular. I’ve looked at hundreds of them over the years across plenty of different platforms. But, honestly, this is the first time that I have found a single app that blurs the lines between being a community and a platform. Its name is SoBet.

Getting into the SoBet platform
SoBet makes things easy for you to sign up and get into your Feed as soon as possible. Creating an account only takes a few simple steps, and I’ll walk you through all of them below.
1. Use your referral code
When you hit the “Join Now” button, SoBet will ask if you’ve been referred to the platform by a specific creator so they can pay them accordingly. If you’re coming to SoBet on your own, you can just click “I don't have a referral code” and move on.
2. Register your email
The next step is to create your actual account. You can sign up via email, and you’ll need to select a strong password for your account, too. What’s great is you don’t need to verify your email, and you can just continue with the sign-up process.
Alternatively, you can register using your Google account or Apple ID for even quicker access.
3. Pick your membership plan and pay
After you’re done with your email and password, you’ll need to choose your pricing plan for SoBet (more on the different plans later). When you click “Checkout”, you’ll be moved to the payment screen, where you’ll see a summary of your membership, and you’ll need to choose whether you want to pay by card or via Cash App.
4. Select your username
After your payment goes through, SoBet will ask you what username you want to be displayed in your account. You can choose pretty much whatever you want, and the system will take some time to validate that it meets all its criteria and is not in use by anyone else.

Navigating around SoBet
As soon as I entered the primary interface of SoBet, I noticed how simple and effective its design is. The platform is built to be very easy to navigate, and it’s clearly mobile-friendly.
On the main SoBet Feed, you’ll find the latest posts from some of the platform's top creators. These can either be direct sports picks, game analyses, or updates on line and odds movement.
You’ll also find dedicated buttons for filtering through the different sports available, so you can just view the ones you’re interested in. There are also separate buttons for posts directly from the SoBet team, AMAs where you can “Meet the Pros”, and educational betting content, like bankroll management tips.
On the top of the SoBet home page, you’ll find the “Pros” section, which includes a list of all the SoBet active pros, their sports specialty, and a short description of their work. In the “VIP Access” section, you can find the pros’ premium packages, what they offer, and how much they cost.
I found the VIP section very interesting, as I initially thought I only needed to pay SoBet’s subscription to unlock access to the entire platform. But it turns out each creator can offer a VIP membership, which is sort of an upgrade to their standard package that comes with your SoBet subscription.
From the few VIP memberships I checked out, most have higher-confidence picks, additional insights, or VIP chat rooms. So, they’re just a form of upgrade if you’re particularly happy with a specific pro and want to see what they have to offer.
SoBet top features
I’ve already mentioned some things you can find on SoBet. However, I want to go into a bit more detail about some specific aspects I think stand out in the platform.
Wide selection of pros, sports, and bet types
The first thing you’ll notice as soon as you land on SoBet is the sheer number of pros available. The team has done a great job recruiting several top-notch cappers for a total of 100+ active pros.
And it’s not just a bunch of random people giving out a few plays, either. They’re professional cappers with years (if not decades) of experience and proven long-term profitability. You’ll have many options, both in terms of who you want to tail as well as whose VIP membership you want to upgrade to.
Thanks to having so many different expert cappers, the SoBet community can cover a wide variety of sports and leagues. Obviously, you have full coverage of all major American sports, as well as college football and basketball. Additionally, you can find picks for all international soccer leagues, tennis games, MMA events, and golf tournaments.
I also found pretty much every bet type you can think of while looking through the different pros on SoBet. Most relied on straight main-market plays, including moneyline bets, spreads, and totals. Some offered player prop bets, which came either as straight picks or parlayed up for bigger odds.
Dedicated mobile app
One of SoBet’s biggest features is its dedicated mobile app. I’ve already mentioned how the platform is very mobile-friendly, but the SoBet app takes things to an even higher level.
With the SoBet app, you can access your entire Feed from your phone and check out every new play posted by one of the pros you tail. And thanks to the instant notifications you receive, you’ll never miss out on any plays or posts from your favorite creators.
I briefly checked out the SoBet app on my phone to see how well it runs. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices, so you won’t have any issues downloading it on almost any phone.
Once I launched the app and logged into my account, everything felt exactly like browsing the regular SoBet home page. The app was very fluid, with seamless transitions and virtually no lagging or stuttering.
Free Feed
Another important SoBet feature is their “Free Feed”. Any potential members thinking about joining the platform can check out parts of the SoBet Feed without even creating an account.
You can just browse around a limited version of the actual home page, which is full of posts from popular SoBet pros. Of course, they won’t include any actual sports picks, but you can read about their recent successful plays or some analyses and insights for upcoming games.
There are also all the sports categories you normally find on SoBet, so you can filter out the sports you don’t want to read about and focus on the ones you find interesting.
When I first visited SoBet, I didn’t really get the whole concept. But the Free Feed helped me understand how the community operates on a basic level, and drew me to check it out further so I guess it serves its purpose very well.
How much does SoBet cost?
Now, let’s get into the pricing aspect of SoBet. The company proudly says it’s one of the most affordable sports picks communities in the market and I've got to agree with this statement.
SoBet offers a single type of membership with three different pricing plans. For $15, you can get a standard month-to-month membership, or you can opt for longer-term deals that will save you money in the long run.
The “Half-Year” package costs a total of $75 for six months or $12.5 per month. The “Year” plan is a full annual membership for $135, or $11.25 per month.
Regardless of the pricing option you choose, you’ll unlock the entire platform with all posts from every SoBet pro. What’s not included is each pro’s VIP section, which cost varying amounts of money.
From what I saw, these prices usually range between $20 and $30 a month, but there are also more affordable and expensive options.
So, that brings me to the ultimate question in your mind. Is the app worth it?
Is SoBet worth it?
SoBet is a great sports picks platform, but the question is whether or not it’s worth subscribing to. For the monthly price it asks for, I think the community definitely deserves a chance and you’ll get some good value for your money.
If you’re a novice bettor, in particular, you’ll obviously learn a lot from the SoBet pros through their sports picks posts or educational content under the “Sports Betting 101” section.
And even if you don’t need a lesson on the basics, there are a ton of unique insights you can learn from the detailed analyses that each of the pros posts.
Of course, I noticed a few shortcomings about SoBet. My biggest gripe with the platform was how I had to pay both a SoBet subscription and a VIP membership to each creator to access the entirety of their content.
I also think that, even though 100+ active pros is a huge number, it pales in comparison to what other marketplaces can offer. And other than the actual sports picks, content can sometimes feel lackluster at SoBet.
So, with that in mind, is there a better option in the market that offers the same (or even more) features as SoBet without its downsides?
