Our team here at Whop is working around the clock to bring you new features so that you can level up your game. One of the newest additions to our platform is the Leads feature that allows you to access a list of the users that have shown interest in your whop.
In this guide, we’re going to cover what leads mean and how you can utilize the feature.
What does a lead mean?
In terms of marketing, a “lead” is a potential customer. There are many types of leads like cold leads, warm leads, marketing qualified leads, and more. But to make it easy to understand, let’s take the main three types:
- Cold leads: These leads are not familiar with your product and haven’t shown interest yet.
- Warm leads: These leads are familiar and interested in your product.
- Hot leads: These leads are ready to buy your product.
There are some other lead types like Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), which are leads that have received sales pitches, or Product Qualified Leads (PQLs,) which are the leads that have the most potential to become a customer since they’ve tried out your product through a trial or a free plan.
One of the most important aspects of leads, however, is actually finding them. Many platforms don’t let you see who has shown interest in your product but didn’t go through with the purchase.
But things are different at Whop. Using the Leads feature, you can see which members have shown interest in your product so that you can get in touch with them to potentially convert them to customers.
So, how do you use the Leads feature? Let’s check it out.
Using the Leads feature on Whop
Using the Leads feature on Whop is super easy, but first, let’s make sure you have a whop to begin with. If you don’t, click the Create a whop button below and follow our Creating a whop in under 5 minutes guide to get started.
If you do have a whop, great. Let’s jump right in. First, click the Dashboard button in your navigation bar. This is going to take you to your personal dashboard, where you can see the statistics and settings of your whops.

Next, click the Leads section button under the Marketing category of your dashboard. This is going to display the Leads section.
If this is your first time doing this, you’ll be prompted to enable the popup promotions feature to generate leads. Let’s click the Enable popup promotion button to proceed.

Once you click the Enable popup promotion button, you’ll be taken to your whop’s Edit details popup. There, you should enable the Enable popup promotion option.
Doing this will display the Discount percentage field, where you can adjust the discount that will be offered to the user when they spend more than 45 seconds on your store page or move their mouse outside.
After enabling the setting and adjusting the discount percentage, click the Save button to proceed.

This is the popup promotion itself that users will see if you enable the setting.

Now when you visit the Leads section of your dashboard, you’ll be able to see your leads - people who saw your popup promotion.
In this list, you can see the user’s username, which whop they visited, their email address, their contact (with the Send message) button, and when they visited your page.
You can also export this list by clicking on the Export button at the top right.
