With betting algorithms and bots gaining popularity, I’m always looking for groups relying on these tools for their daily picks. SharpMoney fits that description exactly, as most of this group’s picks are provided by advanced algorithms. But it also has a small surprise I was very eager to check out.
While this sports betting Discord server started as an algorithm-based community, it recently merged with another huge Discord group called SigmaBet. So, basically, you get two different communities in one, which made me really excited to see how they came together.
If you want to see what the SharpMoney Discord server is all about, you can find them on Whop now. Or you can stick around to find out my thoughts and insights on the community and how they operate. I’ll also briefly discuss which membership package gives you the most value.
But first, a few words about the SharpMoney team.
Who’s behind SharpMoney?
The SharpMoney project was only started a few months ago by Robbie (aka “ClosingDime”). He has been betting professionally on sports for several years and even runs his own YouTube channel with tips and betting insights.
In 2024, Robbie decided to launch SharpMoney to provide access to his exclusive betting algorithms and tools he uses for his picks. Only a few months later, ClosingDime teamed up with “SigmaSquirrel”, owner of the SigmaBet Discord group, and merged the two communities.
This has led to a huge increase in popularity for the SharpMoney community, which now has a whopping 4K+ active members in just a few months of operation. And the group only has five-star reviews on Whop, which shows they’re offering excellent services.
Entering the Discord group
Once I claimed all my SharpMoney memberships, I immediately went into the group’s Discord server. ClosingDime has done a pretty good job of organizing the server into neat sections, each with its own clearly labeled channels.
Naturally, with the group offering dedicated bots for all major sports betting apps, there are a ton of channels available on the server. But at least you can claim specific roles under the “Notification Roles” section and only get pinged for the things you’re interested in.
The group also has an onboarding video that ClosingDime has put together under the “Start Here” section. This is also where you’ll find the server rules and updates, as well as a detailed guide on what +EV betting actually is.
Apart from the group’s sections for expert plays, you also get a bunch of chatting channels under different sections. There are literally dozens of them; I don’t think they’re all necessary, so this is something ClosingDime should consider improving.
The SharpMoney bots
Now, let’s get into the primary sections of the SharpMoney Discord server. First, you have the “Main Bot” section, which is full of dedicated bots for every sportsbook you can think of. These bots constantly look for odds and line discrepancies on different books based on criteria and factors ClosingDime has determined.
Their goal is to find +EV bets, which are basically picks with higher odds than they should have. Once they locate such picks, they automatically put out a notification for every member following the particular channel.
This message includes the pick itself, as well as the odds, how much EV you get, and unit suggestions based on the Kelly Criterion – a high-level bankroll management strategy. What’s even better is these notifications are automatically deleted once the bet is settled, which means these bot channels never feel cluttered or overwhelming.
You’ll only find plays you can still bet on, and you’re always advised to bet on them only if you can find them at the exact odds the bot has indicated (or better, of course). It’s also worth noting that ClosingDime has a dedicated algorithm for MLB prop bets, although I wasn’t able to see it in detail as I checked out the group during the offseason.
SigmaBet expert plays
The other important section at SharpMoney is the “SigmaBet Plays” section. This is where SigmaSquirrel gathers his members and provides his own daily plays and prop bets. What really surprised me about him was how different his approach to betting is.
While ClosingDime has built SharpMoney around betting algorithms, SigmaBet is all about a top-down, holistic betting approach. SigmaSquirrel personally handicaps every play he puts out and considers all possible factors and aspects that may affect it.
His goal is to snipe the best lines and odds when he finds a high-value bet and then rely on CLV (aka Closing Line Value) for his edge. He’s also got an in-depth guide you should read before tailing his plays, where he states that he aims for around a 57% win rate on standard odds of around -110.
SigmaSquirrel has several dedicated channels on Discord for the different sports he covers. You’ll find picks from him on the NFL, NBA, MLB, and college sports, and he mostly provides moneyline bets and spreads. He’ll also give out occasional parlay plays, although he recommends very low betting sizes for them.

SharpMoney – Join ClosingDime and SigmaSquirrel for dozens of high-level picks today
Overall, SharpMoney has a ton of potential to grow. After all, the community already has thousands of members and dozens of positive reviews in its first few months of operation. I understand that’s partially due to the merging between SharpMoney and SigmaBet, but from what I saw, the group is doing really well.
ClosingDime and SigmaSquirrel have blended two very different betting approaches seamlessly. On one hand, you get excellent +EV bets from advanced betting algorithms, while on the other, you have an experienced capper who personally handicaps all his plays through a holistic approach.
So, if you’re after either (or both) of these betting styles, you can join SharpMoney today through Whop. Once you’re in the group, you can utilize the dozens of dedicated chat rooms to socialize with other members or approach ClosingDime or SigmaSquirrel directly to ask them any questions you want.
