Making money from home sounds like a dream, but for a lot of Gen Z and Gen A, it's a reality. As a Gen Zer myself, I’ve been making money exclusively from home since I was 14.

There are plenty of ways to make money from home for free — but most people get stuck because the advice out there is outdated or vague.

So, I put this together to give you the real, up-to-date info you need to start earning from home, even if you have no experience and zero budget.

I’ll walk you through the details step by step, and share what’s actually worked for me, including some of the things I do every day.

Make money at home — no experience needed

1. Clipping content

Clipping is the best way to make money right now if you have no experience and no money to spend, period. As a clipper, you’re turning long-form videos into short clips and posting them across social media.

It’s clear to see why people are making bank with clipping:

  1. You don’t need a following
  2. You don’t need to create original content

But, hey, don’t take my word for it.

Here’s Jon Mac’s strategy that made his clippers $500/week on average.

“But, Alex, don’t I need to know some video editing or social media management for this?”

Sure, but that’s where Whop can help out. As a platform, Whop gives you access to the best resources you’ll need in order to learn clipping through Whop Clips.

And, with Content Rewards, you’ll be able to clip content from your favorite streamers and influencers.

Don’t believe me? Here’s how CR looks on any given day.

0:00
/0:22

You just have to pick one (or 5, as Jon suggested) campaign, and you can get started, just like that.

How easy it is: Very easy. You can literally start clipping by the end of the day.
What you'll need: A device, an internet connection, and a Whop account.
How to get started: Sign up on Whop, take the Clipping course on Whop Clips, and start clipping through Content Rewards.
How much you can earn: Payouts average between $2-$3 per 1k views.

2. Creating UGC (User-generated content)

UGC is essentially any kind of review or “GRWM” vid you come across as you scroll TikTok or Reels. When your favorite influencer shares a product or service they like, that’s UGC.

And, brands love this content, as it helps them build trust and authenticity. It’s an ad without being an ad.

But you don’t have to be an influencer to make money with UGC. AJ Banks made enough to buy a Tesla by doing UGC for Whop in just 40 days!

Making $21.7k in 40 days is no easy task, of course. But AJ’s approach is very well-documented. He:

  • Dedicated a lot of time to making sure his content is as perfect as it gets
  • Posted multiple times a day for 40 days straight. No breaks. No, “I’ll just post tomorrow”

Through Content Rewards on Whop, you can find UGC campaigns for companies that are paying up to $40 per 1k views.

whop ugc homepage

And, all you need to get started is to just find a campaign through CR and get posting.

How easy it is: Very easy. You can have your first UGC up in the next 24 hours.
What you'll need: A device, a Whop account, and a good eye for what content grabs the attention of the audience.
How to get started: Sign up on Whop, go to Content Rewards, filter by UGC, and join the campaign that works for you.
How much you can earn: Most UGC campaigns average $3-$5 per 1k views.

3. Selling clothes online

two figures wearing tshirts that say 'whop'

Based on our latest research, 20.1% of Gen Z and Gen A make money by trading their clothes online. And, this is actually something I’m doing on the side, but on a very small scale.

With clothes trading or reselling, you’re selling vintage or new pieces from your wardrobe, or securing deals online and selling them for a higher price.

People like Ahmet are making bank because they’ve found reliable suppliers online and can sell at a much higher margin. At just 16, Ahmet claims to have made £250,000 in 6 months through reselling.

ahmet k instagram

When I started doing this as a side hustle last year, I sold a 5-pack of T-shirts that I never wore for around $30, just so I could have a budget to get started with more lucrative pieces.

What’s been working for me is:

  • Finding bulk buys and deals on places like:
    Vinted
    Depop
    eBay
  • Reselling them to my personal network for a small profit, or
  • Trading them for more lucrative clothing items

For instance, I’m securing vintage Ralph Lauren polos and Tommy Hilfiger button-ups for $10-$15 and selling them for around $20 each.

If you have the time and dedication to treat this as a side job, rather than just a side hustle, you’re looking at a big moneymaker.

How easy it is: Easy. I managed to make a profit within a week of starting out.
What you'll need: Clothing to resell, starting with stuff you own, and then with securing deals from online marketplaces.
How to get started: Clear out your wardrobe and find clothing that you don’t wear and could be easily sold online or to your personal network. Then, secure deals through platforms like Vinted and start reselling them online on the same platform.
How much you can earn: I’m doing this small scale, so I’m profiting $5-$10 per item. When you bulk buy, you can easily have 30%-40% profit margins, especially for streetwear and “luxury” clothing brands.

4. Streaming video games

Here’s another super popular digital side hustle. 14.1% of Gen Z and Gen A stream video games as a way to make money from home.

While yes, building a monetizable viewership will take time, starting out is a 3-step process:

  1. Be good at a video game (or video games in general)
  2. Provide engaging commentary
  3. Prepare that your only viewers at the start are going to be your friends

Just have fun with it in the end. You don’t have to become the next Jynxzi or Kai to make money off of streaming. All you need is a small number of viewers who keep coming back for every stream.

Once you’ve got the right mindset and are ready to bite the bullet, choose your platform. Go for one of the top 4:

And, when it comes to actually making money? That’s also simple:

  1. Subscriptions
  2. Donations
  3. Brand deals

As with every other way to make money from home, all it takes is some dedication and effort. When everyone can do something (like streaming), you just have to show up every day and do it better to succeed.

How easy it is: Very easy to start, somewhat hard to grow if you’re not consistent. You can see the first donations come in from your first couple of streams, but it will take time to get monthly subscribers.
What you'll need: A good PC or console, OBS (or any other free live streaming app), an okay mic, and (optional) a webcam
How to get started: Create an account on a live streaming platform, create your streaming setup, and go live
How much you can earn: When you start out, it’s gonna be between $100-$1000/month. As you grow, you can make enough to live off of.

5. Entering video game tournaments

Let’s say you don’t want to become a streamer. That’s alright. You can still be part of the 13.1% of Gen Z and Gen A that’s making money through video game tournaments

If you’re already playing games competitively, you know that many have tournaments:

  • Fortnite has weekly Cash Cups
  • Valorant has Battlefy listings
  • Mobile games like Clash Royale and PUBG Mobile offer prize pools.

You don’t need to be a pro. Back in the day, I was, let’s say, “not the best” on CS:GO, but I was taking part in FACEIT tournaments for free.

In general, a lot of these tournaments are low-stakes and built for casual players looking to earn $10-$100 for ranking in the top 10.

And then there are platforms like Repeat.gg and ChallengerMode, where you can enter free tournaments and earn based on your performance.

If you win? Great.

If you don’t? You just played a game you were going to play anyway.

How easy it is: I’d say easy-medium. You need to be decent at the game, but no need to be elite.
What you'll need: A console or PC, an internet connection, and an account on the game’s tournament platform.
How to get started: Search “[your game] tournaments” or sign up for platforms like Repeat.gg, ChallengerMode, or Battlefy, and join a beginner-friendly bracket.
How much you can earn: $10-$500+, depending on your skill and the game’s prize pool. Some pros pull in thousands a week.

6. Affiliate marketing

hands shaking over computer

Affiliate marketing is one of the OG online side hustles that anyone can start from home without spending anything upfront.

  1. You refer people to products or services
  2. You get a commission when they make a purchase through your link

Most people think that you need a following to start making money with affiliate marketing — but that's not necessarily true.

Think of it this way. If you “refer” a friend to your favorite pizza place, that’s affiliate marketing. You’re just not making money from it unless you’re affiliated with the pizza place.

So, to get back to doing this from home and actually making money from it, tons of people are already doing this through Amazon Affiliates. Almost every personal blog that features a top X list of products leading to Amazon is likely affiliated with the platform.

You can do just that with Whop, as well, through Whop Affiliates. But instead of making a couple of bucks per sale…

whop affiliate

… you can be one of the affiliates making thousands of bucks a day.

And, that’s not per sale. This is recurring revenue. You see, when you become a Whop Affiliate, and someone joins or creates a whop, you earn a part of Whop’s revenue from that someone for life.

To get started with affiliate marketing:

  • Create a social media account and post around one niche or
  • Start a blog about a specific topic that you’re passionate about or know a lot about

Slowly, you’ll build a following. Even 100 followers will be enough.

Then, you just:

  1. Promote Whop to potential creators by posting on your social media about it, or
  2. Create a niche community and promote whops within that niche to your members

This is all really simple and easy to get started, and you can do it all directly through Whop. Just join the Whop Affiliates whop, find the best affiliate offers, and get your affiliate marketing going.

How easy it is: Easy-Medium. You’ll need a small following (your network is enough) that trusts you.
What you'll need: A device and a platform to execute your affiliate marketing strategy
How to get started: Build a following through your preferred platform, join Whop Affiliates, find the best affiliate offers in your niche, and start sharing your affiliate link with your followers.
How much you can earn: Anywhere from a few bucks to $10k+ per month in recurring revenue.

7. Trying print on demand

print on demand

Print on demand (POD) lets you sell custom products, shirts, hoodies, mugs, tote bags, without holding inventory. It’s a way to let your creativity make you money, and you can do it all for free and from the comfort of your home.

It’s simple, really. You upload a design to POD platforms like:

  1. Redbubble
  2. TeePublic
  3. Printify

And, they handle the printing, shipping, and customer service.

The thing here is that you have to stand out and be persistent. I’d suggest finding a general niche and doubling down on it.

If you’re staying up with trends, you could be the first to create a design a certain meme, and it can blow up in a matter of hours.

How easy it is: Easy to start, harder to scale. You can get your first design live in an hour.
What you'll need: A design idea, a POD platform account, and optional use of design tools like Canva or AI generators.
How to get started: Create a Redbubble or Printify account, upload 3-5 designs, and start promoting them through social media or SEO.
How much you can earn: $1-$10 profit per sale, as you generally make 15%-30% of the full price.

8. Get paid to test apps and games

make money phone

Getting paid to test apps and video games might sound fake, but it’s real, and honestly, kind of slept on. I say this, as it was one of the biggest moneymakers for me back in the day.

Testing out apps and games means:

  1. Trying out early-access or beta versions of apps
  2. Looking for bugs and glitches
  3. Giving honest feedback on how usable (or not) the experience is

Most tests usually included:

  • Recording my screen and speaking my thoughts aloud while completing tasks (“This button doesn’t work” or “I couldn’t find the settings”)
  • Then, I submitted the test and waited for feedback or another invite

For video game testing, I was doing bug hunting or stress tests (along with hundreds of people, to see if the servers would crash or not).

In terms of the pay, I was able to make anywhere between $20 and $30 per hour. It wasn’t anything consistent, but an extra $100 for playing games or speaking into a camera and testing out websites was pretty neat.

A few popular app and game testing sites are:

  1. PlaytestCloud
  2. Game Tester
  3. UserTesting

How easy it is: Very easy. Just follow instructions and talk through what you're doing. Or just play an unreleased mobile or AAA game.
What you'll need: A phone or laptop, screen recording capability, and decent communication skills.
How to get started: Sign up on one of the platforms above, complete an onboarding test, and wait for invites.
How much you can earn: $5-$30 per test, ranging from 15 minutes to an hour.

9. Take paid surveys

paid surveys

Nobody’s getting rich off surveys. But if you’re bored and scrolling anyway… might as well get paid for it (which is exactly what I did throughout 2017-2022).

Paid surveys are exactly what they sound like. You give your opinion, brands pay you a few cents. That’s it.

These can be the most generic questions out there like:

  • “Which toothpaste brand do you recognize?”
  • “How likely are you to buy this?”
  • “What’s your go-to fast food order?”

And yes, most of them are that boring. But they’re also dead simple, and they stack up over time.

Some popular online survey platforms are:

  1. Prolific
  2. Swagbucks
  3. Freecash
  4. InboxDollars

Now, remember, this isn’t going to make you thousands. Most payouts usually come out to $2-$3 per hour, if you’re not disqualified from them. And, you’ll most likely not have enough surveys to do them for over an hour a day.

But hey, it’s essentially free money, so might as well.

How easy it is: Ridiculously easy. You can do this while waiting for your pasta to boil (which might have been what I was doing a lot of the time).
What you’ll need: A device, an email address, and the patience of a monk.
How to get started: Sign up on 3-4 reputable platforms, fill out your profile completely, and start knocking out short surveys.
How much you can earn: The average range is $1-$5/hour depending on the platform. Some Prolific surveys pay $10+ per hour. I mostly averaged around $2-$3/hour.

10. Microtasks

amazon mturk

When paid surveys started feeling a bit too passive, I figured microtasks are the next step up.

Microtasks are essentially small online tasks that take 30 seconds to a couple of minutes to complete. Some of the ones I’ve taken include:

  • Identifying objects in photos
  • Transcribing short audio clips
  • Categorizing products
  • Flagging spammy content (which was also my introduction to SEO and content writing)

The work is repetitive, sure. But it’s also super easy, and you get better/faster with time.

And, oh, does it pay. There have been projects where I had enough tasks to work 3-4 hours a day, averaging around $25-$30/hour. For a 16-year-old, at the time, that was honestly life-changing money.

The best part? You can literally knock out a few microtasks while watching TV or doing your homework.

Some of the top platforms for microtasks:

  1. Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk)
  2. Clickworker
  3. DataAnnotation
  4. Outlier AI

Some tasks pay pennies but take mere seconds. Others pay dollars but take a few minutes. It depends on the task type, your rating, and how fast you are.

How easy it is: Easy, but requires focus if you want to earn more than pocket change.
What you’ll need: A device, an account on a microtask platform, and a quiet-ish environment.
How to get started: Sign up, complete the onboarding (some have short tests), and start completing tasks right away.
How much you can earn: $25-$30/hour if you’re consistent and fast. Beginners usually start around $10-$15/hour.

11. Use cashback apps

With cashback apps you’re just making money from something you’re already doing, and, in this case, you’re earning when you spend on daily necessities.

The concept is simple:

  • You buy something
  • The app gives you a % of your money back

No need to sell, promote, or post anything. You just shop like normal and earn passive cashback in the background.

Most people don’t do this effectively, though. They use one random app that gives 0.5% and forget about it. The real power comes from stacking apps and taking advantage of the best offers.

Cashback apps worth using:

  1. Rakuten
  2. Pogo
  3. Ibotta
  4. Fetch Rewards

Also, keep in mind that some banks and credit cards offer cashback that stacks with these apps. Double dip when you can.

How easy it is: Extremely easy. Download an app, shop like usual, and rack up passive earnings.
What you’ll need: A phone, a couple apps, and a reminder to activate cashback.
How to get started: Download 2-3 cashback apps, create your accounts, and check for deals before your next online or IRL purchase.
How much you can earn: Anywhere from $5 to $50+ a month, depending on how often you shop and stack offers.

12. Rent out a bedroom

woman looking up at airbnb logo

This one’s old school. But if you’ve got a spare room, it can easily turn into your highest-earning side hustle.

You don’t have to run a 5-star Airbnb (although, using Airbnb for this is the best way to go about it). You just need:

  • A clean, safe space
  • Decent photos
  • A short, clear description

And you’re good to go.

If you're in a city or a college town, there’s always someone looking for short-term stays, co-living options, or budget-friendly crash pads.

Most people stick to Airbnb, but there are other platforms worth trying:

  1. Vrbo
  2. Craigslist
  3. Facebook Marketplace

How easy it is: Easy-medium. You’ll need to manage bookings, clean occasionally, and talk to strangers.
What you’ll need: A spare room with a bed, Wi-Fi, and ideally a private-ish bathroom.
How to get started: Clean the space, take 5-10 good photos, create your listing on Airbnb or Vrbo, and set a competitive rate.
How much you can earn: Anywhere from $500 to $2,500/month, depending on your location and how often it’s booked.

13. Rent out specialized equipment

Don’t have a spare room? No problem. You might have something else people want to rent.

Think of stuff you have lying around that you don’t use every day:

  • Camera gear
  • Power tools
  • DJ equipment
  • Drones
  • 3D printers

If you’ve got something expensive that you only use a couple times a month… someone else probably wants to use it too. And they’ll pay you for the privilege.

There are plenty of platforms for renting stuff out, like:

  1. Fat Llama
  2. ShareGrid
  3. Loanables

If you’re worried about damage or theft, most platforms offer insurance or damage protection. Fat Llama, for example, insures items up to around $30k.

How easy it is: Medium. Takes a bit of setup and coordination, but once it’s listed, it’s mostly passive.
What you’ll need: Specialized gear or high-ticket items that are in demand locally.
How to get started: Pick your best item, create a listing on Fat Llama or similar, and respond to local rental requests.
How much you can earn: $20-$500+/rental, depending on what you list. People are renting cameras for $75/day and speakers for $100/weekend.

Making money online by monetizing your current skills

With all that said, I have to say; these aren’t the only ways to make money from home for free.

Everyone has some sort of skill, right? So, put yours to good use and let’s see how you can make the most out of ‘em.

14. Start social media management

typing on keyboard with social media symbols

This one’s perfect if you’re already scrolling Instagram and TikTok like it’s your job. Except now, it technically becomes your job? Hear me out.

Plenty of small business owners don’t have time to post content or respond to comments. You can step in, take over their social media, and make sure they don’t ghost their audience.

Start local with places like hair salons, realtors, tattoo studios, and scale from there. Research what works in your area, then pitch yourself as the person who makes their business look alive online.

Yes, you will have to get this going by visiting actual places and pitching your services. But, the rest can be done entirely from home, and you won’t need to spend anything upfront.

All that you’ll need is consistency, ideas, and a bit of a marketing mind.

How easy it is: Very simple to start off, especially if you already use social media daily.
What you'll need: Just your smartphone or computer.
How to get started: Offer to manage social media for a local business for free to build your portfolio. Once you get results, charge monthly retainers ($200-$1,000+, depending on scope).
How much you can earn: With just a few clients, you can easily earn $1k or even more per month.

15. Try faceless content creation

phone with question mark

This one’s the sweet spot between staying anonymous and still going viral.

If you’re going to opt for short-form content, think of storytime videos, motivation pages, AI voiceovers, Reddit recaps, celebrity news.

Long-form stuff? Think of folks like John who built MagnatesMedia without ever showing his face (and actually runs his whop, The YouTube Millionaire, where he shares his insights).

magnates media

The key here is to follow successful formats. Reverse engineer what’s working, and then just post, post, post. If you find a viral format and stick to it, the views (and cash) will come.

How easy it is: Challenging until you find the format that fits you best.
What you'll need: Your PC/phone, a good mic, an editing software, like CapCut and a bit of time to discover what works.
How to get started: Pick a content niche, then use CapCut to edit your vids. Post daily on TikTok, Reels, and YouTube.
How much you can earn: Once monetized, creators are making anywhere from $10/day to thousands/month with ad revenue and sponsorships.

16. Make money dropshipping

boxes of dollar signs

Yes, I just mentioned dropshipping in 2025. Because, yes, it still works if you actually put the time in.

After all, you don’t need a warehouse or inventory, so you don’t need any money to get started.

But before you rush into it, you need to niche down from the get-go. Find a product that actually solves a problem for a very specific audience, and partner with a supplier who won’t ghost your customers.

And, here’s my nugget of info: a dropshipper is a creator above all else. Create content around your product or use Whop to get some solid UGC. Otherwise, it’ll just get lost amongst all the other hundreds of dropshipping stores.

How easy it is: Not the easiest to start, but easier to maintain once it gets going.
What you'll need: Computer, website/online shop, suppliers.
How to get started: Use Shopify or WooCommerce to set up a store, find suppliers on AliExpress, and start posting content around your product daily.
How much you can earn: From a few dollars when starting out to millions (yes, millions) once it scales.

17. Start online reselling

box with question mark

I did mention reselling clothes above, but that’s not the only thing you can resell.

You can start reselling from your bedroom using things you already own. Stuff like:

  1. Collectibles
  2. Tech
  3. Books
  4. Home goods

And, generally, anything that you don’t use. Once you build up capital, snipe deals online and flip them for profit.

Pricing errors, clearance sales, and underpriced eBay listings are all great to keep your profit margins high.

How easy it is: Very easy to start. You don’t need to buy anything, just sell stuff you already have and start buying and reselling when you have built a budget.
What you'll need: An account on eBay, Depop, Mercari, or Facebook Marketplace.
How to get started: Clear out your closet or drawers and list everything you don’t use. Then, reinvest your profits into profitable deals you find online.
How much you can earn: Beginners make $100-$500/month. Pros can hit $1k-$10k/month flipping full time.

18. Sell stock photos

photo with price tag

If your camera roll is already full of aesthetic shots, you might be sitting on your next moneymaking method.

You can sell your photos to stock websites, like Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, or iStock, and get paid every time someone downloads your work.

It’s not going to be much, but it’s a great way to utilize your photography skills and make the most out of any photos you already have.

And no, you don’t need a fancy camera. Plenty of stock photo libraries accept iPhone-quality images if they’re framed and lit well.

How easy it is: Easy. You can start uploading photos today.
What you'll need: A decent phone or camera and an eye for what sells.
How to get started: Create an account on Shutterstock or Adobe Stock, upload your best photos, and tag them properly so they show up in searches.
How much you can earn: A few bucks per download. The more you upload, the more passive income you make.

19. Online tutoring

online tutoring

If you’re good at math, science, or even just explaining stuff clearly, you’re already qualified. When I did online tutoring, I was just good at speaking English, so yeah. The barrier was and is pretty low.

Parents are always looking for affordable tutoring options for their kids. Language tutoring, exam prep, or help with school subjects can all be done remotely.

How easy it is: Easy, especially if you already know the subject inside and out.
What you'll need: A stable internet connection and a Zoom/Skype account.
How to get started: List yourself on sites like iTalki, Superprof, or Preply. Cambly is also great for English tutors with no experience or certificates. Or just offer your services on local Facebook groups and build through word of mouth.
How much you can earn: Most tutors charge $15-$50/hour, depending on the subject and your experience. When I started out at $10/hour, I was doing it through a platform and with no prior experience.

20. Freelancing

man standing on circle

The internet needs writers, designers, coders, marketers… and if you’ve got any of those skills, you can freelance from day one. I mean, I’ve been doing it for 5 years, and, through its ups and downs, it’s definitely my personal favorite for making money from home.

You don’t need to be world-class. You just need to solve problems better than the next person.

As a freelance writer, I started working for $20 per article and found clients through Reddit. As the years went by, referrals started coming in from happy clients, and I started using platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, as well as job boards.

In general, once you have clients, you can stack your services, raise prices, and eventually start an agency or niche down and charge $100+/hour.

How easy it is: Medium. Easy to start, but competitive — you’ll need to stand out.
What you'll need: A portfolio and a computer.
How to get started: Set up a profile on Fiverr, Upwork, or use LinkedIn to find clients. Offer your first few gigs cheap or free to get testimonials, then scale from there.
How much you can earn: Freelancers make anywhere from $100/month to $10k+/month, depending on skill and client load.

21. Video editing

Scroll through Reels or Shorts, and you’ll see the same thing: videos that are getting no views but have great ideas. The reason? Most of the time, it’s bad editing.

That’s your in.

If you know how to cut clips, add subtitles, and make fast-paced content, creators, coaches, and brands will pay to save themselves the headache.

Don’t know how to edit yet? Free tutorials on YouTube and TikTok can get you up to speed fast.

How easy it is: Easy to learn, harder to master. But demand is massive.
What you'll need: A free video editing tool and a device.
How to get started: Edit 2-3 free videos for creators you like, then use those as portfolio samples to start charging.
How much you can earn: Anywhere from $20/hour when starting out to $100+/hour once you’ve build a client base and a portfolio.

22. Make money with voiceovers

Got a smooth voice? Or just a good mic and clear delivery?

You can make bank doing faceless narrations for YouTube channels, audiobooks, explainer videos, or even TikToks.

You don’t need to sound like Morgan Freeman, of course. You just need to sound clean, clear, and confident.

How easy it is: Super easy if you have a decent voice and can read scripts naturally.
What you'll need: A quiet room, a $30-$100 mic, and free software like Audacity.
How to get started: List your services on Fiverr or BunnyStudio. Or reach out directly to content creators and offer to voice their scripts.
How much you can earn: Beginners charge $10-$30 per gig. Experienced VO artists can make $100+ per script.

23. Sell art online

make digital art on ipad

Your doodles, paintings, digital drawings can actually be worth something.

If you’re even slightly creative, you can start turning art into income by selling physical prints, digital files, or custom commissions.

Even better? You can turn your art into merch. Sites like Redbubble or Teespring let you upload a design and sell it on t-shirts, mugs, and posters without holding inventory (as I mentioned above in POD).

How easy it is: Medium. Takes some time to build an audience or customer base.
What you'll need: A phone/camera to showcase your work, or design tools like Procreate or Canva.
How to get started: Sell directly on Etsy or launch a storefront through Redbubble, Whop, Ko-fi, or even Gumroad. Promote your work on TikTok or Instagram.
How much you can earn: A few hundred per month is doable. Full-time artists can pull in $2k-$10k+ depending on audience and demand.

24. Transcription services

People talk. You type. That’s transcription in a nutshell.

Tons of podcasters, YouTubers, researchers, and even lawyers need their audio turned into text. And they’ll pay for clean, accurate transcripts.

It’s not glamorous,  but it’s simple, beginner-friendly, and 100% remote.

How easy it is: Very easy. You just need to be a fast, accurate typer.

25. Monetizing unique skills

If you’ve got any weirdly specific skill,  like speedcubing, juggling, tarot reading, coding Discord bots, or making Pinterest boards, there’s probably a way to monetize it.

Don’t underestimate how much people will pay for:

  • Niche knowledge
  • Personalized experiences or
  • Just entertainment

This is where Whop shines, too. You can turn your skills into a community, digital product, or service offer with almost no overhead.

How easy it is: Easy, if you’re already good at the thing.
What you'll need: Just your skill + a way to deliver value (video, call, PDF, etc.)
How to get started: Package your skill into something someone would pay for. Then list it on Whop, Gumroad, or Fiverr. Promote it on socials.
How much you can earn: Anywhere from $5 to $5,000 — it depends on how valuable, rare, or fun your skill is.

Speaking of Whop, I’ve got a few more ways you can make money from home without spending anything upfront, and they can all be done through Whop.

Made a Notion template? Wrote a mini eBook? Designed a fitness tracker?

You’ve already got what you need.

Digital products are a one-time effort with unlimited earning potential. You make it once, upload it to Whop, and every new buyer is pure profit.

Great options include:

  • Notion templates (planners, finance trackers, student hubs)
  • PDFs or guides (study tips, beginner workouts, startup playbooks)
  • Toolkits and swipe files (email templates, prompts, job hunt bundles)
  • Sports picks or trading signals

How easy it is: Very easy, especially if you’ve already built something useful for yourself that others would value.
What you'll need: Just your product (PDF, link, file, or even a gated webpage). Canva and Notion are great free tools to build with.
How to get started: Package something valuable (template, guide, toolkit), upload it to Whop, and write a strong product description. Then share it on socials or Reddit to get your first buyers.
How much you can earn: $10–$100/week is realistic for part-time effort. Top sellers who consistently release high-value products can make $1,000–$5,000/month.

27. Start a community

group of people jumping out of phone

People love being part of something, especially a niche group where they feel seen, supported, or ahead of the curve.

With Whop, you can create a paid online community and monetize access to:

  • Exclusive content
  • Group coaching or Q&As
  • Market insights or tools
  • Like-minded peers

You don’t need a huge following. Just a clear niche and consistent value.

For example, you can start a:

  • A crypto signals whop
  • A whop for freelance designers
  • A whop for sneaker flippers

How easy it is: Medium. Setup is fast, but building engagement takes time.
What you'll need: A niche, a whop, and a compelling reason to join.
How to get started: Set up your community for free on Whop. Invite your first few members manually (even for free), and focus on engagement. As value builds, add a price tag.
How much you can earn: With just 50 members at $10/month, that’s $500/month recurring. Some niche communities earn $5K+/month by offering deeper value like coaching or weekly calls.

28. Create and sell PLRs (Private Label Rights)

plr digitla products

PLRs are digital products that buyers can rebrand and resell as their own.

You can either:

  • Create your own PLRs: write a guide, slap a design on it, and license it for resale
  • Repackage free/cheap PLRs: find underpriced PLR products online, make them look better, and flip them with new positioning

Popular PLR formats:

  • eBooks or cheat sheets
  • Social media content packs
  • Courses or workbooks
  • Digital planners and toolkits

How easy it is: Easy if you can write decently or organize info well.
What you'll need: A Google Doc or Canva, writing ability, and design basics.
How to get started: Create a simple guide or toolkit, slap on clean visuals using Canva, export as a PDF, and list it on Whop as a PLR. Mention that it comes with resale rights.
How much you can earn: $10–$100 per sale. If you position it well ("TikTok content pack for real estate agents"), you can sell dozens monthly without needing to change anything.

29. Start a podcast

podcast microphone

No studio? No problem.

Podcasts are an amazing low-cost way to build an audience, and you can monetize them creatively through Whop by offering:

  • Premium bonus episodes
  • A behind-the-scenes community
  • Access to guests, resources, or coaching

You don’t need thousands of listeners. Just a few hundred loyal ones who care about what you’re saying.

How easy it is: Easy to start, moderate to grow, but long-term ROI is high. What you'll need: Your phone, a mic, and a free host like Spotify for Podcasters or Whop.
How to get started: Record 1-3 test episodes, upload to Spotify/Apple/Whop, then offer paid bonus episodes or perks on Whop.
How much you can earn: If you get even 100 subscribers paying $5/month for bonus content, that’s $500/month. Add in affiliate links, sponsors, or coaching offers, and it scales fast.

30. Use AI to sell stuff or offer services

robots and money

AI is the cheat code if you know how to turn ideas into value.

With tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Midjourney, you can create and sell:

  • Prompt packs for marketers, students, job seekers
  • AI-generated tools (resume writers, ad generators, planners)
  • Mini-courses or tutorials teaching people how to use AI for X

You can even offer AI-as-a-service (e.g. “I’ll use AI to turn your blog into 10 tweets”).

How easy it is: Very easy if you’ve used AI tools before. No coding needed.
What you'll need: An AI tool (many are free), basic writing/design skills, and a simple idea that people would pay to save time or get better results.
How to get started: Create an AI-powered resource (prompt packs, automated reports, writing assistants), then upload and sell it on Whop. You can also offer AI-powered services or tools.
How much you can earn: Anywhere from $50/month with minimal effort to $5k+/month if you scale with volume or recurring access. Prompt sellers in hot niches (e.g. lawyers, creators, ecom) are doing 4–5 figures monthly with barely any overhead.
