While I was looking for some new and exciting whops, I came across SoniX Academy. I was very intrigued by the group’s focus on teaching members all about successfully producing music.

But what drew me in the most was finding out the community is run by popular producer KXVI, who’s well-known in the music industry for his collabs with top-level artists and his two Grammy nominations.

His goal when creating SoniX Academy in 2024 was to help members who wanted to get into music production but didn’t have a clear-cut roadmap to help them launch their careers. SoniX Academy provides a combination of high-level courses on several genres a variety of important tools, as well as live seminars and calls with KXVI and other popular producers.

If you’re interested in what SoniX Academy has to offer, you can check them out on Whop now. Or you can just keep reading this review where I’ll go over all the community’s features and whether it’s worth picking up a premium membership in the group.

Before that, though, let’s talk a bit more about KXVI, the creator of SoniX Academy.

The person behind SoniX Academy

KXVI is a very popular music producer who’s managed to secure collaborations with top artists like Future, 21 Savage, and SZA at a very young age. In 2021, once KXVI was already an established name in the industry, he launched the SoniX platform, where he could sell all his sounds, and that’s what eventually got him two Grammy nominations.

As the SoniX audio platform grew, KXVI realized he could help aspiring producers improve their sound by teaching them his tricks and industry insights. That’s how SoniX Academy was born, with the community joining Whop in 2024.

Since then, the SoniX Academy whop has attracted hundreds of eager producers looking to improve. And judging by the group having exclusively five-star reviews on Whop, it’s obvious that KXVI and his team are doing a great job with the community.

Getting into the Academy

As soon as I got into the SoniX Academy whop, I was immediately surprised by how many channels and sections the community had. I noticed the group also has a private Discord server, but they’ve integrated everything you need directly in the whop, too.

The group’s whop is highly customized with unique icons to make each section stand out. There’s a short introductory course under the “How to get started” section that acts as an onboarding guide to the group and showcases the first steps to get started in music production. You can also find this tutorial in written form under the “Academy Guide PDF” section.

The SoniX Academy group also has several live events, including Zoom calls with KXVI, where he answers questions, reviews member beats, and does live tutorials. There are also recordings of these live sessions, so you can watch them whenever you want.

What I really liked about SoniX Academy was how active the group actually was. There’s a dedicated “Chat” room where members can talk about anything they want. KXVI is very active in the chat room and will gladly answer any questions members have.

Apart from KXVI’s live sessions, you can find his “Uncut Interviews” on Whop. These are essentially full-length interviews with other producers and industry experts, where you can learn a ton of invaluable insights. KXVI also has a detailed masterclass on music production, which you can find on the group’s whop.

Additionally, the SoniX Academy group is full of PDF guides and producer blueprints to help you get started. There are also several unique kits for creating your own beats, including loop kits, drum kits, and genre-specific mini kits.

Music theory and educational courses

KXVI puts a ton of emphasis on proper learning material, which is why he’s created several courses on music production. You can start off with the “Music Theory 101” course if you don’t have any previous experience with music or just move on to more advanced courses.

You can also check out the “How to Play Guitar 101” section that includes the first steps you need to take to learn guitar, a quick overview of the equipment you’ll need, and even some more advanced techniques.

KXVI has put together a detailed “Roadmap” with eight clear steps to help all members succeed in music production. He’s also got the “Road to first placement” course, which includes important insights to help you reach the top of the music industry.

You’ll find tips on how to mature your sound, network with artists and producers, as well as how to build your brand and ensure consistency in your work.

Apart from general music tutorials, SoniX Academy also offers detailed courses and guides on how you can create genre-specific beats for R&B, trap, soul, and synthtopia. Each course comes with the basics and theory for the specific genre, a guide on making samples, as well as live tutorials of KXVI showcasing how to create actual beats.

SoniX Academy maintains a relatively simple membership structure. If you want to access the entire group, you’ll need to get the single premium membership the group offers. You’ll also need to choose among the three different pricing plans KXVI provides.

The standard monthly package costs $29.99, which is a very good price point to enter the group. You can also get the six-month plan for $137.99 or the annual membership for $247.99 and save some money in the long run.

SoniX Academy – Join KXVI and learn music production from one of the best in the business

Overall, I’m really glad I checked out SoniX Academy. It’s a very unique community that focuses on music production, which is something I haven’t seen before on Whop. On top of that, the group is backed by a popular music producer in KXVI, who knows the industry very well and has a ton of insights to offer.

I was particularly surprised by how much educational content the group had to offer. There are a ton of different courses on all the essentials of music production, as well as advanced courses for specific music genres. Ideally, I would have liked a bit more organization on the whop, but I didn’t have too much trouble finding everything I needed.

So, if you’re after a group that’s all about music production with expert insights from a Grammy-nominated producer, you can check out SoniX Academy on Whop. When you join the group, make sure to go through its onboarding process and all educational content, and don’t hesitate to reach out to KXVI directly with any issues you may have.
