If you want to take advantage of the digital product boom but don’t have the experience, expertise, and authority to build your own creation, digital dropshipping is the way to go. But, with so many different digital products on the market, it’s hard to find which ones will attract the most people and offer the best commissions.

Fear not, I’ve got you covered. In this article, I’ll go over some of the best products for digital dropshipping. Sure, you can already think of a few categories that might be worth it, like ebooks or communities. But are all ebooks created equal? Will every community offer you great commissions? Or are there specific subcategories that are the most lucrative?

That’s what we’ll find out. But first, let’s quickly go over how digital dropshipping works, just so we’re on the same page.

How digital dropshipping works

Dropship

With digital dropshipping, you funnel your audience, followers, or viewers to different types of digital products. If you’ve done physical dropshipping, the process is similar but has a few key differences.

Digital dropshipping is all about finding the right products for your audience and securing the highest commissions. Your goal is to get folks to sign up for the communities, buy the ebooks, take the courses, etc., that you suggest through your link. That’s how you make your money.

Now, what’s the actual process of digital dropshipping if you already have an audience? You'll first find digital products from trustworthy creators (like those on Whop), communicate your dropshipping intentions to them, and receive your unique product link. Then, simply start creating content around that niche or the creators themselves and get people to sign up or purchase the product through your link.

Our digital dropshipping expert and Head of Affiliates, Brett, went over this in much more detail, and he vouches that this is one of the best and fastest ways to make money in this day and age.

But that’s enough yapping from me. You’re here for the actual products to digital dropship, so I’ll let you in on these.

The 15 best digital dropshipping products

While there are tons of different digital dropshipping products, these are by far the best. Whether it’s the niche or the product itself (or both, in most cases), they work well for the creators. And they’ll work just as well for you if you follow my tips.

1. Sports pick communities

Sports pick communities

Sports betting has gone viral in the US and worldwide. Many folks who used to dabble in a bet or two a day and were getting some good ROIs decided to create communities where they share their picks. Some have created teams of cappers to share their well-researched picks with their community.

But what does a community need? Members. And that’s where you come in.

If you’re a sports fan, start up a social media account to post sports highlights or general sports-related content. Be consistent with it, though. You’ll need to post every day, regardless of how many views you get.

Once you have a solid following, it’s time to pivot. You can start posting more betting-related content alongside the highlights. So, if CeeDee Lamb is over 100 receiving yards a game (a highlight on its own), go ahead and post something like, “And that’s why you always gotta bet on CeeDee’s overs.”

Then, simply go to Whop, find the best sports betting communities, and get affiliated with them. All that’s left is to place your links in your bio and get your viewers to click on them through your revamped posts. Each sign-up equals a nice commission straight into your pocket.

2. Trading Discord servers

Trading Discords

Trading isn’t anything new, but after the whole Gamestop ordeal, plenty more people launched their own trading communities, most of which are hosted on Discord. Trading Discords are generally owned by expert day traders who use tools and their experience to share trading signals with their members.

How do you play into this? Well, you’ll be the one who makes sure that the member count doesn’t stop growing. Digital dropshipping access to these Discords is a bit more straightforward than sports betting.

You might laugh at this, but start by creating a meme page about trading (or "stonks"). The funnier and more thought-out these are, the faster you’ll get followers. And that’s where you can start making those sweet commissions.

If you have permission from the traders, you can just post some of their winning trades. Or, simply go on their Discord and pick some of the winning and losing trades of the other community members (censoring their names and profile pics, of course).

Remember not to stray away from the original purpose of your page. You’re still posting memes but adding some actual trades in these and funneling your audience to the Discords.

A good example of this would be posting the classic stonks meme but with trade snippets from the creator. It’s still going to get a laugh from your followers and make them consider signing up on the trading Discord you’re affiliated with.

3. Reselling bots

Reselling bots

Since sneaker reselling got big, folks have been making bots to help them get a good pair faster than any human could. Now, reselling doesn’t only exist for sneakers. You can resell tickets, trading cards, watches, all of that stuff. And there are bots for every single one of these. They can range from shopping bots buying things quickly to crawlers constantly looking for deals.

So, if you want to digital dropship bots, start creating content around the reselling category you’re most passionate about. In my case, I’d go for reselling trading cards. Thus, I’d start posting content related to trading cards, such as the cards with the most value or the most potential.

Build your audience by providing helpful tips and explaining the intricacies and quick-moving nature of reselling. Once you accumulate a few thousand followers, you should start reaching out to the creators of these bots.

When it's time to implement your strategy, you shouldn’t stop posting the content that got you those followers. Just add a little plug and try to forward them to the bot sellers you’re affiliated with.

So, with trading cards, I’d say something along the lines of “But if you want to find the best deals, this creator has bots that do the work for you in a fraction of the time it’d take you and for a very affordable price.” Simple, to the point, without making it sound like a shill when it isn’t.

4. Ecommerce courses

Ecommerce courses

Now, we get into courses, and, more specifically, ecommerce courses. You don’t need me to tell you how lucrative ecommerce is. We’re talking about a $6.3 trillion market here. So, it’s only normal for successful ecommerce business owners (and, unfortunately, gurus) to create courses to help others kickstart their ecommerce journey.

That’s where you can join in and make some good money without owning a course. Ecommerce courses are usually high-ticket, so if you bring in just a couple of sales, you’ll make a pretty significant amount from the commissions.

My best tip would be to start by finding good creators in the ecommerce space, many of whom are on Whop. Simply get affiliated with them (you just have to copy their link from the Customer Affiliates page) and try to find a gap in their marketing strategies.

So, if the creator isn’t really focusing on short-form content, get their permission to start repurposing their content for short-form algorithms. All that’s left is to plug your affiliate link into your bio and urge your viewers to sign up.

5. Business courses

Business courses

If you’re not too familiar with the ecommerce space, you can take a more general route and digitally dropship business courses. So many people want to start a side business, but most of the time, they don’t have all the business skills required. That’s where business courses come in, and that’s also where you can make some good recurring income.

Essentially, you can go down two routes. The first one is pretty similar to what I mentioned above. Simply repurpose creators’ content for short-form algorithms using different social media accounts. You make short clips of them saying something controversial or super informative and urge the viewers to sign up for the course through the link in your bio. Simple.

Admittedly, this might seem a bit too salesy. So, instead, take the content creation and personal branding approach. Start by creating content in the specific business niche, and once you gather a good following, forward them to the course you’re affiliated with.

For example, if I were going to digital dropship a business course about freelance writing, I’d create short-form content with writing, client acquisition, and general business tips. Once the followers start coming in, I’d organically plug the creator I’m affiliated with, saying they have a course that covers what I mentioned in-depth, with specific examples.

The rest is the same. Link in the bio, get them to sign up, and earn the commissions.

6. Social media communities

social media communities

Social media communities provide a mix of ecommerce and business learning in the form of a network. Some creators choose to put some or all of their community behind a paywall, reserving the best content and information for paying fans.

Creators of these private social media communities on Whop share tips on how to go viral or how to run your TikTok Shop effectively, that sort of stuff. That’s where you can capitalize by essentially selling memberships to these private communities.

Alas, how do you digitally dropship social media communities? Good old content repurposing. With short-form algorithms, if something goes viral once, it’s more likely to go viral again. Many of the creators you'll promote have also gone viral themselves.

You can reuse their content to share your affiliate links, as long as you don’t post the exact same TikTok or Reel. Start by creating a few different accounts on various social media platforms. Use the creator’s name in your handles to make it look like the actual creator is posting the content.

Then, all you need to do is find their most viral clips, edit them a little, and repost them. This will get you a lot of views and, subsequently, a bunch of followers really quickly. So, just add an AI voice urging the viewers to click on the link in the bio, and you’re golden.

Of course, the hard part is finding some reliable creators with high commissions. But, if you just take a look at Whop, you’ll find plenty of creators selling community memberships, courses, ebooks, and more.

7. SaaS tools

SaaS

Okay, now, let’s check out a different strategy: dropshipping SaaS tools. We all know that SaaS tools have gotten big in the past few years. SaaS here, SaaS there; it’s a model that just works. And you can make some money from these without knowing how to write a single line of code.

For some of the ideas above, I mentioned that you should create a social media account to post general content, like sports or trading memes. Well, now, it’s time to show your face to the world.

You see, the best way to digital dropship SaaS tools is by becoming a full-blown content creator. This can be on YouTube, TikTok, or even through your own blog. I’d suggest creating content around the SaaS space in general. Talk about how the business model works, why it’s so popular, that sort of stuff.

Then, you can start creating reviews for different SaaS tools. Try to find the best ones that you can actually vouch for and become affiliated with them. This is basically affiliate marketing 101, but you’re actually suggesting quality tools instead of going for the ones that offer huge commissions without delivering good value for their users.

8. Travel communities

travel

Going back to communities, travel communities are gathering some steam. People love traveling, so it’s no wonder these communities are starting to pop up on platforms like Whop. These have guides for specific cities and travel tips, and are hosted by experts who help their members create the best travel plans.

Your role in this is simple. Since these aren’t creator-centric, you just have to create short-form content about traveling. If it’s a digital nomad community, you can take a more business-focused approach, but most of these are all about traveling for leisure.

So, what are my tips? Well, you can be pretty basic and just start uploading short videos with the “top X cities for Y people.” I’ve seen Shorts with creators posting “pictures vs reality” clips for different landmarks. These rake up millions of views, and the channels have hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

If you prefer a more personal approach, you can start a travel vlog or blog. The key is to keep your content the same and just add a plug that sounds organic, like “If you want to know the best way to explore this city/landmark, check out the link in the bio.” That link leads your viewers and readers to one of the many travel whops, and you get a commission for every sign-up.

9. Podcasts

Podcasts

I’ve said it before numerous times: everyone has a podcast. And, since everyone has one, some creators are inevitably getting little to no views, which is why they offer a good incentive to bring in more listeners.

Digital dropshipping a podcast is super simple. Once you’re affiliated with a creator, simply upload podcast clips directing viewers to your link. That’s it. The creator will probably have a TikTok account doing the same thing.

So, how can you stand out? Start posting short-form and long-form content on other platforms around the creator's topics. If they have a podcast on Spotify about entrepreneurship, start a blog covering similar themes. Or, post YouTube Shorts with snippets from their podcasts, increasing their authority in the space.

Alternatively, you can suggest these podcasts to your readers/viewers within your regular posts, as a way to further their knowledge. And, of course, many of these podcasts will give out great commissions.

That said, there are podcasts on Whop hosted by experts in their respective industries. So, in such a case, take the latter approach. Create your own content, but mention them as the experts that your readers/viewers should listen to.

10. Business and self-help ebooks

ebook

Ebooks, in general, are a huge market. A $14.61 billion market, to be exact. The thing is that business and self-help ebooks are selling like crazy. Everyone’s trying to start their side businesses and solve their problems, financial or personal. Thus, the market is there, the ebooks are there; you just have to show them to the right people.

Again, the best plan here is to get affiliated with smaller creators who’ll offer larger commissions for sales. Since we’re talking about the business and self-help niches, the best approach is to create content around both. If you’re up for it, combine the two topics in your content to reach a wider audience.

You don’t have to reinvent the wheel here. Even a page on X with inspirational quotes posted daily will bring in followers. Essentially, once the audience is there, just start replying to the posts’ threads with links to the ebook you’re affiliated with. Better yet, if the authors allow it, use direct quotes from the ebooks and write, “Check out the link in the bio for the whole ebook.”

11. Fitness plans

Fitness plans

Many people got really into fitness during the lockdown a couple of years ago. While doing a couple of bodyweight exercises or using a few dumbbells was more than enough, some wanted a little extra. So, they started looking into fitness plans. And, anyone who was into fitness before then started selling these through their communities.

What does this mean for you? Well, regardless of whether you go to the gym or not, you can sell their fitness plans to your followers. This one’s a little bit tricky.

If you’re into fitness, you can start posting workout routines for beginners or follow-along workouts on YouTube. Then, just plug the links to the affiliated fitness plans in the description. The only caveat with this is, at that point, you may as well create and sell your own fitness plans.

The best approach here would be to go down the “TikTok edits” route. Similar to the podcast snippets, you could create these TikTok edits (a.k.a. compilations for anyone not in the know) using the creator's content and then plug your affiliate link right at the end.

12. PLRs (private label rights)

PLRs (Private Label Rights)

PLRs are kind of a new thing, as they go hand-in-hand with digital products. Think of them like white-label products but in the digital world. When one buys a PLR bundle, they get a set of digital products, like ebooks, guides, etc., that they can tweak and republish as their own.

This is a pretty interesting opportunity if you get into it early on. Since PLRs aren’t that big yet, you can secure some pretty good deals to digital dropship them. I mean, you can also buy these and create your own digital products with their help, but I digress.

Remember that your audience, in this case, is made up of up-and-coming creators, not regular consumers. So, the best approach is to create B2B content through a blog, newsletter, or social media.

One idea would be to review different digital products and link out to the PLR provider you’re affiliated with. Or, you can start by creating business-related content linked to digital products and pivoting to digital dropshipping PLRs after gaining a large following.

13. Sports betting software

sports software

So, I’ve already covered sports betting communities. But, after reviewing dozens of these, I noticed a pattern. Many use sports betting algorithms and bots to find the best odds and get data that would otherwise take tons of hours if done manually. At the same time, some creators sell tools and software just like these to other creators.

And, that’s where you come in. You can get affiliated with the builders of these tools and help them get more visibility with other creators who own sports pick communities. Once again, we’re dealing with a B2B audience, so social media or a blog would be the best place to start creating content.

I’d suggest going for social media this time around. You can start by posting sports betting content, but you have to quickly pivot to talking about the software you’re affiliated with. Show other creators why and how these tools can help them out.

Essentially, these save them time, so they can focus on their community. That’s the selling point you have to push for. And again, the end goal is to get them to buy the software from the link in your bio.

14. Notion templates

Notion templates

Now, that’s enough B2B for the day. Let’s talk about Notion templates. Or any other productivity templates, for that matter. Everyone wants to be a little bit more productive every day, whether they’re a student, creator, business owner, or anything in between. That’s why many creators have made templates that help with productivity.

And, you can make some good income without ever needing to create a template yourself. The route here is pretty straightforward. Social media is your friend, and your content will be all about the template’s purpose. For productivity templates, simply post productivity clips, quotes, or even your own videos.

There’s a lot of competition in that space, though. So, try to add a new perspective, and don’t just repeat what you hear from an Ali Abdaal video. Use this to your advantage to say, “No, I’m not gonna be basic and suggest you read Atomic Habits. You can use this template to see what works for you, hands-on.” Then, simply guide them to your affiliate link.

15. Digital products on Whop

Digital products on Whop

I’ve saved the best for last. Regardless of what route you choose, be that content creation on social media, creating sub-accounts for creators, or any other digital dropshipping method I’ve mentioned above, there’s one type of product that will be the best: whops.

There’s no shortage of whops, which are all-in-one online hubs. Some creators host their communities there. Others upload their courses or ebooks. Many have a combination of both - a community alongside a product offering. There are 9k+ creators to choose from, and you can get commissions when you bring anyone on board.

And, as I said above, you can take any route you like. If you’re comfortable being in front of a camera, start posting short-form content about anything you like. Anything. Sports betting, trading, ecommerce. There’s a whop for it.

All you need to do is get people to sign up for these through your links. It’s that simple. If you want to learn more about the process right now, just click the button below.

How to be a successful digital dropshipper

Drop shipping

You know what digital dropshipping is, you know what types of products will net you the most money. So, how can you make sure that you’ll be successful? I’ve got a couple of tips to share.

Market research

Before any business venture, you have to do your due diligence. See what kind of market you’re dealing with. Is there even a market for what you’re going to dropship? That’s where market research will help.

Essentially, you aim to find if there are enough consumers compared to the creators. If there are too many creators, the market’s already saturated, so it might not be worth trying that niche.

If there are few creators, chances are that a couple of them aren’t getting a fair slice of the market. That’s where you can help out and be handsomely compensated through commissions.

Personal branding

Yes, personal branding matters, even in digital dropshipping. Remember, you can always pivot to a better product to sell or an entirely different market. Your followers will stick around not for the products you’re dropshipping but for your personality. That’s why they’ll trust you to use your links in the first place.

For instance, let’s say you want to dropship digital products in the entrepreneurship space. Off the top of my head, you have business ebooks, productivity templates, courses, ecommerce communities, etc. You can alternate between these four with the right personal branding.

You need to have a mindset of a creator…because you’ll actually be one in most cases.

Consistent content strategies

Always remember to write out your content strategies and follow them within a set timeframe. You'll also want to be committed. If you try to digital dropship by creating short-form content and it doesn’t work for the first few months, keep going for another few months.

Being consistent will help you build the necessary trust for your followers to buy the products you’re affiliated with.
